Phew! Like E. said putting together outfits was surprisingly hard – not for lack of options, but at least for me, it was hard to think about whole outfits since most of my shopping consists of getting things on sale here and there which then make an entire look together with other pieces I already have.

The BR spring line is very green and purple heavy (you’ll see this in other outfits this week), but the second I walked in and saw these red chinos I knew I had the basis for my outfit. I liked pairing the orange print top with the red pants and complementary grey-green sweater. The blue tank underneath was a last minute swap (I had been wearing a white one) to bring in even more contrast with the orange and red.

I admit this look is very casual and ridiculously preppy, but I thought it was fun. I was imaging a night around a bonfire on the beach in Maine or the cool air of an evening clambake on the Cape. I guess all those ad campaigns full of happy beautiful people frolicking around have really sunk in – for better or for worse. Don’t forget to check out our pictures on the BR Facebook page to vote for the look you like the most!

Not all of these items are available online, but I’ve included similar items as well: Red Chinos, Scroll Print Tank, similar to the blue tank, similar cotton sweater, there’s nothing like the little moccasins – you’ll have to go to the store for those!
