I’m currently gushing over Tom Bihn’s Large Shop Bag–it seems that if you go through all the trouble to remember your reusable bag everywhere you go (for the sake of reducing your trash) that said bag should be sturdy enough not to become trash itself! If the random number generator selects my comment, I would like to see the Passport Pouch winging its way to me.
The utility tote seems really nice for plane rides ( think snacks, knitting, blanket, sweater, etc. I think the organizer pouch would be my choice for traveling with jewelry.
My ideal travel location is the south of France.

I was introduced to Tom Bihn via your website, and while I now feel I need one of anything, out of the accessories section the first thing that caught my eye was the Freudian Slip… Ahhh, to organize all the files I carry around from place to place so easily! It really reminds me of my purseket, which I bought from the containter store. LOVE IT!

After thoroughly going through the website, I’ve concluded that I can’t just pick one item that I’d like but narrowed it down to 3. For someone who spends weekends away from home (whether at a friends or cooped up at a hotel for a weekend) the Packing Cubes, Aeronaut and 3D Clear Organizer are my top picks.

I am planning a trip to Austria/Italy/Switzerland this summer and I’m pretty sure I will need to buy an Aeronaut seeing as my previous backpack is too large and my current carry-on is not that convenient for a Europe trip. The travel cubes with the clear panels are ideal. I travel with a lot of metal (scissors, crochet hooks, tweezers, scientific instruments) and it would be great to be able to expedite security checks with all of the metal in one clear cube.

I travel for work every couple months and my work is very, uh, laptop heavy. And I feel like my poor little Macbook is getting a beatdown every time I drag it through a new domestic airport.
Also, I’m dying to visit Prague. When I was a kid, my family lived in Germany for years and we had an opportunity at one point to move to Prague — but only for two years. Rather than having us switch schools yet another time, my parents opted to come to the U.S. And I’ve always regretted their decision! I’m determined to make up for it at some point.

The “packing cubes” are ingenious items from Tom Bihn. I actually think my favorite is the 3D organizer cube. It just seems so useful for someone like me who switches bags almost every day (and who tends to chuck small items into her large bags willy nilly, making them very difficult to locate). Packing cubes are the bomb! I really need to stop procrastinating and order a couple. Of the two accessories listed, the passport pouch looks great… and I’m planning a long trip overseas to boot!
And for part two… my favorite travel destination I’ve actually been to was Thailand, spent 15 days there in Chiang Mai, Ko Samui and Bangkok – magical time! Of the places I’d like to visit, highest on my list is a tour of some of the vineyards and wineries in Chateauneuf-du-Pape.
My favorite Bihn accessory I think is the dyneema convertable packing cube in grey ;) Looks like a smart way to end up at the destination with a light daypack but little overhead for the fully-loaded segments of the trip.
Top travel destination: That’s tough; the list of wants exceeds my allotment of time and money. But I think if I could go one place right now, it would be back to Israel for several weeks, and in particular to spend longer in Akko — fascinating, dreamlike.

The Clear Organizer Cube would be perfect for plane trips! I’d love to have something a little more durable than a ziploc bag … they always seem to break and I have to bring 5 of them with me whenever I travel.
I am also extremely tempted to buy the Cache Laptop Case, since I’ve wanted a sleeker laptop case for a while now – my laptop sleeve seems to just have so much annoying extra material.
My ideal vacation would be a medieval-themed trip around Europe (I’m a medieval historian). I’d especially love to spend more time in Italy and Southern France.
I love the padded organizer pouches. I have a protective cover for my iPod, but this would be even better (because in addition to providing another layer of padding I could shove the earphones in there)!
My ideal travel location right now would be Japan; I’ve been there before & loved it, & a good friend of myself & my partner now lives there. Plus I’ve been studying Japanese!
I was convinced by the case for the clear organizer pouch as I too have gotten tired of switching key items from bag to bag — inevitably forgetting something. But as it was my first visit to the Tom Bihn site at the moment my head is spinning with gift ideas for some of the men in my life — the snake charmer or super ego from my techi brother in law, the side effect for my traveling recently retired father and the auronaut for my husband who desperately needs to upgrade his carryon – so I can stay slim and sleek when we travel! :)

As a knitter, the yarn stuff sack is a must-have! I’ve just ordered an Aeronaut with packing cubes – which I’m so looking forward to using. I am kicking myself however for not getting the packing cube/backpack – I think it’s a fantastic idea!

I think the Horizontal Freudian Slip is brilliant for organizing within a messenger bag or briefcase. My messenger bags require a lot of rooting around to get anything out.

Ireland is my ideal international travel and vacation location. They speak English, are amazingly hospitable, and continuously offer great volumes of food and drink. I think it must be a law that every visitor gain 10 pounds before leaving the country. ;)

I am actually going to Greece in June w/ my bf of 2yrs to meet his ENTIRE family! Yes, his mothers siblings of which there are 6 then their children and children’s children. His paternal grandparents and his father’s siblings 5 i believe and so on and so on…. It will be an amazing experience and a wonderful moment to share with him. His paternal grandfather btw is 100yrs old! Those Greeks sure love life :-D
