Thailand is my current ideal travel location.

  3. Mrs. G says:

Hey Chicks! I’m currently gushing over Tom Bihn’s Large Shop Bag–it seems that if you go through all the trouble to remember your reusable bag everywhere you go (for the sake of reducing your trash) that said bag should be sturdy enough not to become trash itself! If the random number generator selects my comment, I would like to see the Passport Pouch winging its way to me.

  4. Ronnie says:

The utility tote seems really nice for plane rides ( think snacks, knitting, blanket, sweater, etc. I think the organizer pouch would be my choice for traveling with jewelry.

    I’d love the clear organizer.

  19. April says:

I was introduced to Tom Bihn via your website, and while I now feel I need one of anything, out of the accessories section the first thing that caught my eye was the Freudian Slip… Ahhh, to organize all the files I carry around from place to place so easily! It really reminds me of my purseket, which I bought from the containter store. LOVE IT!

If I won this giveaway, I would prefer the passport holder, as I need something that I can hang around my neck for easy access while maneuvaring my bags through the airport.

  20. TD says:

I think my favorite accessory from Tom Bihn are their packing cubes. I might have to get those for my regular suitcases…the regular travel bags are way out of my price range.

Again, I would love to win the passport pouch, if I win at all. Thanks guys for this giveaway. I really enjoy your blog.

  24. nikole says:

After thoroughly going through the website, I’ve concluded that I can’t just pick one item that I’d like but narrowed it down to 3. For someone who spends weekends away from home (whether at a friends or cooped up at a hotel for a weekend) the Packing Cubes, Aeronaut and 3D Clear Organizer are my top picks.
Preferred giveaway item: 3D Clear Organizer

  25. Ecochic says:

I’m with the rest of the poster on this one: the travel cubes look amazing.

As for a giveaway item, I am liking the passport pouch.

  26. Ecochic says:

I’m in the middle of making travel plans (and saving) for Peru after I defend next spring. The Inca Trail, Here I come!!

  27. Tara says:

Favorite accessory is probably the shop bag (though the knitting bags are awesome and would probably get me to pull my needles back out after a long knitting hiatus!). I like the passport case above…for a passport and travel documents, it makes lots of sense.

  28. Tara says:

Dream trip: Spain. For the 6th time. I can’t get enough.

  29. Jen says:

The packing cubes are the best invention ever. I think they are so versatile, not only for travelling but you can also use them to organise stuff at home (say, wool scarves during the summer). Of the two in your giveaway, I’d go for the 3D clear organiser cube… it’s cute and practical!

  30. Maggie says:

Oooh, definitely the clear packing cube for favourite accessory (although I’m partial to the knit stuff sack too!)

  31. Rachel says:

I love the Horizontal Freudian Slip! Am considering purchase…..for the giveaway, I’d prefer the passport pouch. I can see using this for way more than travel – great way to carry my bank/credit cards on marathon shopping trips!

  32. Rachel says:

I’m dying to go to Spain and visit the orphanage where my dad spend his first few years of life and immerse myself in the history and culture of my people. Ten year wedding anniversary coming so keeping my fingers crossed for this trip!

  35. Jen says:

My dream destination is La Digue Island.

  36. Erin says:

My favorite accessory would probably be the vertical Freudian slip…messenger bags are uncomfortable for me so I’m stuck with a big bulky bookbag that is constantly a wreck.

Where I to win here, however, I’d prefer the passport pouch. ^_^

  37. Erin says:

My current traveling wishlist includes an African safari trip…assuming I could make it that long roughing it!

And as for my ideal destination? Turkey. Most definitely.

  44. JenF says:

I am planning a trip to Austria/Italy/Switzerland this summer and I’m pretty sure I will need to buy an Aeronaut seeing as my previous backpack is too large and my current carry-on is not that convenient for a Europe trip. I would love either of these accessories but I think I would most like the organizer cube since my current toilet bag is not see-through.

  45. Sare says:

I really like the organizer pouches, great way to keep track of stuff with color coding.

I prefer the clear organizer giveaway.

    Sao Paolo

I love the packing cube backpack, and think I should start investing in a luggage set! The 3d organizer cube would be a good start.

  51. gutenmegan says:

The 3D Clear Organizer Cube looks amazing! I’m also totally lusting after this: http://www.tombihn.com/page/001/PROD/13MACBOOK/TB0730

I travel for work every couple months and my work is very, uh, laptop heavy. And I feel like my poor little Macbook is getting a beatdown every time I drag it through a new domestic airport.

  52. gutenmegan says:

Also, I’m dying to visit Prague. When I was a kid, my family lived in Germany for years and we had an opportunity at one point to move to Prague — but only for two years. Rather than having us switch schools yet another time, my parents opted to come to the U.S. And I’ve always regretted their decision! I’m determined to make up for it at some point.

  53. Melissa V says:

My ideal travel destination is Tibet – my brother visited in 2004, and we’re both waiting for the opportunity to arise again.

  58. PSUCoCo says:

That said- I love the purple trim clear organizer cube- so practical!! :)

  59. Jenny says:

ooh, and i want to go to spain!

  72. Zeinab says:

I think the packing cubes are great and would really help a chronic over-packer like myself :S But I would love to win the clear organizer cube because it matches perfectly with the luggage set i just bought!

  73. Zeinab says:

If I had to narrow it down to one, my ideal travel location would be Malaysia. It seems so exotic and I hear the food there is A-MAZING!

  74. MimiMerlot says:

My favorite accessory is hands down the Horizontal Freudian Slip. I just received word that I will be on a month-long fellowship this summer and this would be the perfect item to keep my very unorganized self on top of things!

  75. MimiMerlot says:

Between the two giveaways, I am particularly fond of the passport pouch and would remind it of my fondness quite frequently!

My ideal travel destination is India. I’ve put my heart and soul into the study of the area, giving years of my life in graduate school to the study of its history and culture, and I cannot express enough my desire to visit as just a normal tourist!

  76. I would love to win the clear organizer. It would be perfect for our family carry-on only trip to Hawaii next month.

My favorite accessory are the packing cubes. What a genius idea.

  77. I really want to tour the Mediterranean from Spain to Greece.

  78. amy says:

the 3D Clear organizer cube looks just the right size for holding on to the million (if you’ll excuse the hyperbole) accessories that I end up packing that fall to the bottom of my carry on bag!

  79. Lindsay says:

My favorite is the Swift in Cork. I’d love to win the Organizer.

  80. amy says:

My favorite travel destination is anywhere with my husband. He is the best person to travel with because he’s always up for an adventure, and he loves naps as much as I do!

  81. Lindsay says:

My dream vacation would probably be to either Ireland or Italy.

  82. Deena says:

    Oooh, so nice for travelers!

I’d love to have one of their convenient travel bags

  84. Ariana says:

  85. My favorite is the packing cube, they seem pretty useful and convenient. I would prefer the 3D organizer cube as that would be a perfect addition to my messy purse.

  90. aj says:

I have always wanted to go to Greece.

  91. Emily says:

Oh gosh I forgot to mention my favorite accessory in my first comment.. the snake charmer!

  97. katie says:

I would love the Smart Alec backpack! I really need a new method of getting gym clothes, lunch, etc back-and-forth during the day. I loathe regular duffle bags, and the Smart Alec looks like it might do the trick. Zippered organizer pockets for jewelry! Shoes in the side pockets!

  102. Kate says:

All the Tom Bihn stuff looks great! But I’m especially fond of the packing cubes, since I hate rifling through suitcases & dealing with separating dirty from clean.

For the giveaway, I’d love the clear organizer cube! So nice for toiletries.

  103. Kate says:

Right now I’m dreaming about visiting Russia. I haven’t narrowed it down more than that, (& Russia is biiig) so that trip is obviously a ways off.

  104. Melissa says:

I’d love to travel in Western Europe. Anywhere, I won’t even be picky!

More realistically… I need to make the time to make the couple of hour train trip to Quebec City. And this time not have the plans fall through!

  105. Leslie says:

I must say, the Aeronaut appears to be the tops! My swain and I are running away this October to get married in Iceland and have been searching for the perfect carry-on to handle our needs. I’m eager to drive up to Seattle to check out the bags in person!

Either the 3D Clear Organizer Cube *or* the Passport Pouch would be smashing. Thanks for the opportunity!

  108. Christine says:

The “packing cubes” are ingenious items from Tom Bihn. Prior to reaching your site, I thought I had packing down to a science (just roll up clothes and such…cram everything in the suitcase) but upon seeing one of your recent blogs featuring those packing cubes. I WAS WRONG! >.< The cubes would def. help me **organize** and separate my things. So thumbs up for that!

Would prefer the 3D clear organizer cube!
    Thanks!!

  121. Liz says:

Sorry to comment a third time…not trying to get an extra entry, but I forgot to list what I’d like. I’d be happy with either, but I’d love the organizer cube.

  122. Mary says:

I think my favorite accessory on their website is the packing cube shoulder bag– both because it seems super useful and like it’s a good value. If I win the giveaway, I’d prefer the organizer cube, but either would be awesome.

  138. Elle Phillips says:

Ideal travel destination? The US, of course! Maybe I’ll get to a conference over your way sometime…

  139. How perfect is the snake charmer? When I was writing my thesis, my bag was always a mess of laptop charger, phone charger, external hard drive, and whatever other tech accessory I needed!

And since I forgot to mention my favorite Tom Bihn item from the website in my last comment, it has to be those packing cubes. After reading your reviews, I’m sold.

  143. Becky says:

I actually think my favorite is the 3D organizer cube. It just seems so useful for someone like me who switches bags almost every day (and who tends to chuck small items into her large bags willy nilly, making them very difficult to locate). However, if I had to pick an accessory that’s not in the giveaway, I’d say the Guardian dual function light. How convenient when you’re searching for runaway keys in your large, disorganized bag??

  144. Becky says:

Oops! Forgot to add that my ideal travel location is Damascus. SO much history! And great food :)

  145. Patricia says:

  149. Sarah says:

My favorite accessory is the Horizontal Freudian Slip – not only a cute name, but sooo practical.

In terms of giveaways – I love the packing tube!

  150. Sarah says:

I have to say my ideal travel destination is Provence. I lived there for two years and have been pining to go back for ages. If I ever get there, perhaps I can focus my travel yearnings elsewhere, but until then…

  151. Joanna says:

My husband would love the Checkpoint Friendly Laptop Briefcase. He travels for work often and it would be perfect!

  152. Joanna says:

Actually, after seeing all the love on this blog for the clear pouches, I think I definitely NEED one! I can think of so many uses for it, from my upcoming 10-day vacation to my daily commute.

  163. Sara says:

My ideal travel destination is the Greek islands. Since that’s not in the budget right now, I’m spending my 10-day vacation in California wine country and Yosemite national park!

  164. Jackie says:

I am in *love* with the Synapse backpack! Compact yet so many lovely and roomy pockets.

If I am the lucky winner, I would prefer the passport pouch!

  165. Jackie says:

Ideal travel destination: the Netherlands! I lived there for 5 years, and am still homesick since moving back to the States 3 yrs ago.

  166. Carly says:

  170. Tammy says:

  178. Abbie says:

I’ve always wanted to visit Belize.

  179. Patsy says:

Oh, and my dream travel site at this point would have to be Greece. (Although, why do I say “at this point?” I’d be thrilled to go at ANY point.)

  180. Natalie says:

I have a Tom Bihn medium cafe bag, which I use as a purse that also holds a small knitting project, a book, or my work stuff.

An organizing cube would be very handy!

  181. Natalie says:

Currently thinking about how to afford to go back to Brazil to visit dear friends. But more realistically, am planning to visit my favorite and only sister, who recently moved halfway across the country!

  182. anne says:

hello academic chic! ever since reading about the aeronaut on your blog i have been OBSESSED with it. i think i have to order one soon…

of the two items you have, the 3D organizer cube would be my pick – cute, and functional! and as for my dream vacation spot, right now i’m considering croatia.

  183. anne says:

oops, i misread the instructions! second comment commencing now… croatia would be lovely, or (since it’s my second comment surely i can post two locations!) i would really love to go to camiguin (a southern island of the philippines).

  184. Jessica says:

Thanks for doing this giveaway! On the Tom Bihn site, I found the Packing Cube Backpack–amazing! I need a good overnight bag.

  187. Scott G. Lewis says:

Packing cubes are the bomb! I really need to stop procrastinating and order a couple. Of the two accessories listed, the passport pouch looks great… and I’m planning a long trip overseas to boot!

  188. Scott G. Lewis says:

And for part two… my favorite travel destination I’ve actually been to was Thailand, spent 15 days there in Chiang Mai, Ko Samui and Bangkok – magical time! Of the places I’d like to visit, highest on my list is a tour of some of the vineyards and wineries in Chateauneuf-du-Pape.

  189. Tim Lord says:

My favorite Bihn accessory I think is the dyneema convertable packing cube in grey ;) Looks like a smart way to end up at the destination with a light daypack but little overhead for the fully-loaded segments of the trip.

  190. Tim Lord says:

Top travel destination: That’s tough; the list of wants exceeds my allotment of time and money. But I think if I could go one place right now, it would be back to Israel for several weeks, and in particular to spend longer in Akko — fascinating, dreamlike.

  191. Tommy Lane says:

If I were to choose just one Tom Bihn accessory out of all of the ones I like, I would probably choose the shop bag. That would really come in handy for me sometimes.

My accessory choice in this giveaway is the 3D Clear Organizer Cube.

My ideal travel location at this time would be anywhere in Northern Europe.

I love Tom Bihn’s products! I’m really intrigued by the Packing Cube Shoulder Bag. Multi-use stuff makes ms happy. :) It looks like I am going to Europe in June (with my TB Tri-Star) and the passport pouch would be useful!

  196. jess says:

part two — I cannot wait to make it to Moscow and St.Petersburg. Hopefully soon!

I want a packing cube thats also a shoulder back to put in my brain bag. o yea and a tristar. and a clear organizer for bathroom stuff

  198. Sarah says:

The Clear Organizer Cube would be perfect for plane trips! I’d love to have something a little more durable than a ziploc bag … they always seem to break and I have to bring 5 of them with me whenever I travel.

I am also extremely tempted to buy the Cache Laptop Case, since I’ve wanted a sleeker laptop case for a while now – my laptop sleeve seems to just have so much annoying extra material.

  199. Sarah says:

My ideal vacation would be a medieval-themed trip around Europe (I’m a medieval historian). I’d especially love to spend more time in Italy and Southern France.

  200. johanna says:

I love the padded organizer pouches. I have a protective cover for my iPod, but this would be even better (because in addition to providing another layer of padding I could shove the earphones in there)!

  201. johanna says:

My ideal travel location right now would be Japan; I’ve been there before & loved it, & a good friend of myself & my partner now lives there. Plus I’ve been studying Japanese!

  202. heather says:

I was convinced by the case for the clear organizer pouch as I too have gotten tired of switching key items from bag to bag — inevitably forgetting something. But as it was my first visit to the Tom Bihn site at the moment my head is spinning with gift ideas for some of the men in my life — the snake charmer or super ego from my techi brother in law, the side effect for my traveling recently retired father and the auronaut for my husband who desperately needs to upgrade his carryon – so I can stay slim and sleek when we travel! :)
Top of my travel wish list right now is Iran! (I am a middle east historian)
of the give aways it would have to be the 3D clear organizer cube

  203. Mary says:

I love the purple! I just got a wallet in the same shade.

I’ve been eying the side effect for a while. It’d just come out the last time I was at the store…

  204. Mary says:

    And for my second chance:

I’d love to go back to Sicily. The food alone would make me have to buy stretchy pants, but that place felt magical.

  205. Lisa says:

The packing cubes seem like such a neat idea, and I love the purple 3D Clear Organizer Cube!

  206. Megan says:

My ideal travel location would be somewhere totally different from where I am. Maybe Vietnam?

  208. Holly says:

  212. Julie Hegedus says:

As a knitter, the yarn stuff sack is a must-have! I’ve just ordered an Aeronaut with packing cubes – which I’m so looking forward to using. I am kicking myself however for not getting the packing cube/backpack – I think it’s a fantastic idea!

Ideal travel location – The Galapagos Islands! I’m headed there with my best friend in a few short weeks (the reason for my Aeronaut purchase) and I can’t wait!

  213. Teresa says:

I’m a knitter too and I love the yarn stuff sack that came with my swift.

  214. Teresa says:

So far, my favorite place to visit has been New Zealand. Can’t wait to go back.

  220. Katharine says:

  222. wongstuff says:

My ideal destination is western Europe.

How can one choose between all the wonderful things Tom Bihn makes? I really like all the organizer pouches and the Western Flyer & TriStar bags. Out of your giveaway I would have more use for the Organizer Cube but would happy with the Passport holder too!

  224. artbeth says:

I’ve been to England once but would love to go back again sometime.
