§ 337 Responses to Scarf Giveaway #2"

  1. Roswitha says:

    Hi, girls!
I would love the pink scarf — pink is my neutral! i would style it with either a white top for a fresh summer look or with red for more fun!

  2. kjlangford says:

hmm… Maybe with a blue sweater, and a gray wool skirt or trousers?

  3. Tara says:

I would wear this with khakis, brown tee and denim jacket.

  4. Roswitha says:

… and my suggestion for next month: shoes are always interesting, of course, but what about tights? i would love to see unusual tights — patterns or color combinations!

  5. Tara says:

I think you should celebrate necklaces next!

  6. Miranda says:

I think it would add softness to a navy blue sweater dress and brown boots.

  7. Miranda says:

I still have trouble finding belts that fit and styling them so they don’t move around or cause bunching when there are no belt loops. Belt tutorials please!

  8. Bianca says:

I would style the scarf like E. did, because I’ve been trying to put together that outfit! I wear a lot of neutrals so the pink would be a great bit of color.

  9. Bianca says:

I have loved the scarf theme this month – so many ideas! I would love to see how yall would wear trousers next month because I have to wear them often for work, and I’m looking for ideas how to make them more interesting.

  10. Miss Outlier says:

I’d wear the scarf with a striped V-neck in complementary colors. Such lovely texture!

  11. I loved how E. styled hers as a cowl paired with a sweater. It would add a much needed pop of color to my work neutrals, and the pretty pink color transitions well into spring!

  12. Ris says:

Oh I’m a big fan of these Neck Scapes! I’d style it with a white sweater I never know how to wear (it’s so plain but I never seem to be able to dress it up well) a wide brown belt, and jeans tucked into brown boots.

  13. Miss Outlier says:

I like the tights suggestion, as well as belts. Honestly you girls have enough belts to keep you busy for well over a month, I think! :)

  14. I think tights month would be fab. Then I’ll be set on my two staples — scarves and tights!

  15. You guys always look so chic in your heels, but I would love to see you do more styling with flats. I never know how to do a skirt/dress with flats, especially in the wintertime.

  16. busylizzy says:

I’d like to try the scarf with a black turtleneck – either tight around the neck or the longer version like a warm necklace.

  17. TankTop says:

I would totally wear this with jeans and my brown Frye boots.

  18. Ooh, and I would style the Neck Scape with a red sweater I have that just needs a little something extra – that would totally make it!

  19. TankTop says:

I would love to see you do an entire month of trousers.

  20. busylizzy says:

and I’d like to see a “How to alter the look of clothes with the help of acessoires”-month (think brooches, needles etc)

  21. Sarah says:

I would wear this amazing scarf peaking out from underneath a crisp white button-up shirt, jeans, and some tall boots.

  22. Sarah says:

I think a month of flats is a fantastic idea – living in a city means a lot of walking, and I would love to see new ways to style outfits with flats instead of boots or heels.

  23. Meli says:

This scarf is so sweet! I think I would play off the sweetness and the rest of the outfit would be a mix- I would wear my anthropologie navy rare bloom tee, my black skinny jeans, and my black boots. I also would love to try it with a pretty floral skirt and a plain long-sleeve tee… there are so many possibilities ;) I’ve been eyeing the stuff in this etsy shop for a while- I also love the crimson red and plum purple scarves…

  24. Meli says:

You all should celebrate the figure-flattering and creative possibilities of the BELT next month! Please?!

  25. Julia says:

I would wear the pink with navy blue – light pink and navy is one of my favorite combinations. I think a patterned white/navy shirt would look especially sharp!

  26. Lauren says:

I would wear the pink Neck Scape with a white t-shirt, black leather moto-jacket, skinnies, and black boots! Tough girly!

  27. Meagan says:

I love these neckscapes– all the strands make me want to figure a way to attach a bold, vintage-y pendant to a handful of the strands. Or maybe gather some together with a fun brooch?

  28. Julia says:

I would love to see pants/trousers/slacks/jeans/shorts-tights featured during March.

  29. Andrea Jean says:

Thanks for sharing the love! I’d pair this with a dark neutral top, navy or black.

  30. Lauren says:

Next how-to style? I’d love for you guys to style suit jackets — how would you pair a suit jacket with a more casual outfit vs. work vs. dressy?

  31. Linda says:

this with my pumpkin sweater and charcoal jeans. just right for the end of winter

  32. Leanna says:

    Something grey or khaki…

  33. Linda says:

i’d love to see how you do footwear in the transition from winter to spring — how do you navigate all the slush and mud fashionably?

  34. Christina says:

I love this scarf! Style it with a simple dress and boots would be pretty.

  35. stacey says:

I would wear this scarf with dark jeans, a thin long sleeve tee and a comfy cardigan.

  36. Meagan says:

For next month: maybe colorful shoes, and how many *pops* of color to add to an outfit. I can add a pair of red shoes to a black/gray outfit no problem, but sometimes I want another accessory. Another red item? I worry it’s too matchy-matchy.

  37. Aduni says:

Since it’s such a pretty piece, I would make it the focus of my outfit by wearing all black -simple but cute. I also like how it looks against gray in the picture so I’m open to trying that combo too. Thanks for the giveaway!

  38. Alice says:

There’s always a bit of neutral – blacks, browns, whites, and greys – composing my outfits, so this pink scarf (perhaps in the cowl neck fashion, like E.) would add a much-needed burst of color! (And what a way to do that in pink!)

  39. Sarah A says:

I’m liking the grey in the picture, so I’d go with a grey sweater, maybe white shirt and black pants/shoes? I’m kind of bad at this, which is why I read your blog so much for inspiration!

  40. Sarah A says:

As for an item to highlight next month… Coats? How to not look like a crazy lady with a giant coat? I dont think tis possible to match them to outfits per say, but maybe how to make them not look like an after thought? Especially since my coat is officially two sizes too big.

  41. Jannette says:

I think I’d style the pink scarf with a grey cardigan or a brighter blue color. I like it tighter around the neck, though the looser more hanging style would work too (less wraps around the neck)! So beautiful!

  42. Jannette says:

I think the next style feature for next month should be either something about cardigans (I have so many, but feel like I don’t jazz them up enough) or possibly tights/pattern mixing.

  43. Rachel says:

Love the color of this unique scarf! I like mixing shades of the same color (which some people find too matchy), and I have a fuschia tee with the perfect neckline for this neckscape. I’d style this with a pair of dark wash bootcut jeans, brown ankle boots, a dark pink long-sleeve tee, and a brown cord blazer. Thank you guys for this cool giveaway!

  44. Shana says:

I was just looking at the pink neck scape on etsy yesterday and thinking about buying it so I would love to win this! I would wear it with my skinny jeans, camel boots, white tee, and plum colored sweater. I love pairing pinks and purples together.

  45. Shana says:

I’d love to see you celebrate tights or belts next month.

  46. Suze says:

I would wear it with exactly what I have on today- black skinny jeans, tall blakc boots, a vintage dress and black jacket. So cute!!

  47. Suze says:

    Tights! Printed tights.

  48. Courtney says:

The pink is so romantic! I’d wear it with a warm brown sweater, a pink flower brooch, my favorite jeans skirt, and a pair of heeled knee-high boots.

  49. JBC says:

I would wear this scarf with a raspberry cami, a cozy grey sweater, boyfirend jeans, and flats for a causal look or with my herringbone black pants and black boatneck sweater for a more polished look.

  50. Courtney says:

I’d also love to see next month be jacket/coat month. I live in cardigans and am somewhat afraid of blazers, so I’d love to see how you work them!

  51. JBC says:

I would like to see a month of cardigans (I know its late for that!) Also a month of dresses would be great as they are a challenge to me!

  52. erica says:

I would wear it looser, more like a cowl with a gray plaid jacket or my pinstripe blazer. This would really punch up my work clothes!

  53. I’d wear this with a grey dress or with jeans and an oversized sweater for a more casual look.

  54. I’d like to see you celebrate flats next month.

  55. Jackie says:

I would love it with a warm sweater, jeans, and boots :-) Perfect for chilly lecture halls.

  56. Jackie says:

I’d love to see some colorful and interesting flats.

  57. Jennifer says:

I’d wear this scarf with a gray sweater dress, black tights, and a pair of maroon flats. It would really freshen up a winter outfit!

  58. Jess says:

I’d style it with grey, slim leg chinos, rolled up at the ankles, navy flats, white V-neck tshirt, navy blazer. I like pink and navy together!

  59. Ris says:

I’d love a month focused on belts. I’m…pretty much hopeless when it comes to getting creative with belts and I just try to copy what I seen in magazines, sometimes without much luck.

  60. E says:

I would wear it with burgandy or grey.

I vote for a belt celebration next month.

  61. Jess says:

Next month I’d love to see you celebrate the white shirt in all it’s incarnations – button-down, tank top, t shirt, oversize, v-neck, crewneck, etc.

  62. Tina says:

I’d definitely wear this neckscape with a conservative but short black dress, striped tights, and black boots. Perhaps a contrasting scarf as well? I’m thinking red in honor of the weekend. Or brown…I do love pink and brown.

  63. Jac says:

I love the combination of pink and brown. AND I just bought a new pair of brown slacks that are kinda boring but neccessary. I would love to add this pink scarf to an outfit with the brown boring slacks for a pop of color and fun!

  64. Tina says:

I would be in inspiration heaven if you highlighted BELTS next month – you all are the reason I’ve embraced my belt collection. TIGHTS would also be quite appropriate, since we all know spring doesn’t come till May or June in the northern climates.

  65. Jac says:

For next month’s focus, how about belting? As a size 14, I am anxious about belting; I like the look but don’t want it to make me look bigger than I am!

  66. Brunette says:

I’d be great with a black sweater dress and black boots – adds a little softness and femininity!
plus, it looks super cute and cozy!

  67. Brunette says:

let me add to the belting request!

I have yet to figure out how to belt so that the back doesn’t get all puffy and strange-looking. I have an hour-glass shape, but I can’t seem to find the right belts or the right places on my bod to wear them.

    thanks!

  68. It would definitely soften the edges of my mostly black wardrobe these days! Belts would be a great topic for next month.

  69. Oh so cute!! I would love to have one! I think I would wear it with a white dress and my red boots for a cute and girlie look.

    http://www.thejoyoffashion.blogspot.com

  70. I would love to see you show the different ways in which one can wear colored shoes. I have a bunch of bright colored shoes of different kinds (flats, heels, wedges, etc) that I can’t seem to find ways to wear. So your advice on how to wear green, orange, turquoise, etc shoes would be nice!

    http://www.thejoyoffashion.blogspot.com

  71. Melissa says:

Thanks for the giveaway! I would style this with a light brown tee. I am loving brown and pink lately.

  72. Fiona says:

This is so adorable! I’d wear it with a cardi, tee and jeans (college student uniform…)

  73. Chrissy says:

This scarf would be a great way to dress up a utilitarian outfit – I’m thinking dark jeans and a black, scooped neck shirt.

  74. Navah says:

I’d wear this peeking out from either a navy blazer or a belted brown cardigan, for a nice little pop of pastel on a dreary winter day.

  75. Pam says:

I would style it with a basic tee, blazer and jeans. Maybe some sassy heels to boot!

  76. Sophia says:

Because March is sort of that month in between winter and spring, I think you should focus on jackets/outerwear next month and how to make that transition into the next season. I’d be especially interested in how to make a jacket a part of your outfit rather than just something to wear on top and maybe ways to spice up an everyday black/gray/solid-color coat. Just because you work in a warm office doesn’t mean you shouldn’t look great walking in and out of it each day! I look forward to seeing what you girls come up with.

  77. Navah says:

As for next month, I’m totally jumping on the belt bandwagon. You all have fabulous collections, and I’m always looking for new waistline ideas.

  78. Pam says:

I would love to see you girls style either different kind of shoes (flats, heels, boots, etc.) or jewelry like brooches, pins, necklaces, etc.

  79. Emily says:

This is really cute on the model, but I think I’d have to do some experimenting to figure out how that shade of pink could work for me. It should be a fun challenge!

  80. suiterkin says:

I’d wear this with my gray knit dress and a cardigan.

  81. suiterkin says:

Like some others, I’d love a belt tutorial. I have a hard time picking them and styling them, but my hour-glass shape *needs* them!

  82. Sophia says:

I would wear the neck scape with a blueish-grey sweater, white skirt, and gray boots. Neutral colors definitely make the pink stand out and I love the style of the scarf!

  83. Samantha says:

I would pair that with grey and burgundy, of which I have a fair amount in my wardrobe. I have a new (to me) plaid corduroy skirt in grey, burgundy, and pink that is just crying out for some interesting styling!!

  84. Samantha says:

Also, another vote for focusing on shoes. I think the flats idea is an awesome one!!

  85. Emily says:

For next month, my idea isn’t a type of clothing per se, but maybe a focus on professional yet walkable outfits. At this point in the year (for a lot of us) it’s still cold, but we’re moving into snow-melt and piles of slush/mud soon enough. If one can’t just wear snow boots and bring cute shoes along to change into, what are some good ways to deal with the mess outdoors while still looking cute indoors?

Kind of along with that idea, maybe some cute ideas for layering in transitional weather. March where I live has plenty of days that could start with a snow storm and end up sunny and warm(ish), so I’m always adding and subtracting layers throughout the day.

  86. Andrea says:

I really don’t have any clothes that are pink, but I think this would look great with any of the black tops that I have, with jeans and boots.

  87. Rivkah says:

I would wear the neckscape for a night on the town with a sequined black tank, a gray jacket, and black skinny jeans. I think it would be fun to dress it up.

  88. Andrea says:

I would love to see a month about belts, not necessarily just seeing you wear them, but more discussion about general rules of when to wear a wide belt, or a skinny belt etc.

  89. Allison says:

I would pair it with jeans and a gray top for a casual weekend look. Such a great giveaway!

  90. Allison says:

And up next, I would love to see a feature on cardigans. I can’t live without them but feel they get a bit repetitive. Help me!

  91. Jenny says:

My office is often cold, so I would wear this with a pencil skirt, v-neck sweater and tights…and stay warm!

  92. Jenny says:

I think March should be shoe month!

  93. Catherine says:

I have a dark brown corduroy jacket that the light pink would look perfect with!

  94. angie~* says:

I’de wear it with a purple v neck jumper and my brown tweed pants that have bits of pink and purple thread in them.

  95. Catherine says:

Af for features, I’d love one on footwear or cardigans.

  96. Diane says:

I would wear it with a simple skirt and top (gray? purple?), and keep the Valentine’s Day spirit going a bit longer!

  97. Jessica says:

I would use it to add a splash of color to many of my LBDs!

  98. angie~* says:

March could be one of the following…
    * Cardigan month
*(pick a colour and insert here) month where
    * white top month where u show us how to style white coloured tops/blouses/shirts in creative ways :)

  99. Jessica says:

I would love to see a focus on accessorizing with jewelry. (I have such a hard time with it at times, and I’m not sure why.)

  100. emily says:

These are so pretty! I have a gray dress that needs something to add color and style. I think this might be a perfect accessory for that.

  101. Adie says:

I’d style it with a long grey sweater with a belt, black tights and a pair of black ankle boots

  102. Laura D. says:

I’d love to see a focus on any of the following: Belts, blazers, shoes, jewelry, purses

    The neck scapes are gorgeous!

  103. Maria says:

I can’t believe there are so many comments already! I would wear this with a long-sleeved black jersey dress and a menswear-inspired gray tweed vest.

  104. Mar says:

I would wear this with a fuzzy cream or pale green cardigan and my favorite pair of dark-washed jeans! It’s a beautiful comfy-chic item.

  105. JB says:

I love to wear a scarf and blazer, so I’d love to try this with my new brown blazer!

  106. Kate says:

I think the pink neckscape would look nice with my navy blazer, gray pencil skirt, and a plain brown tee.

  107. Jericho says:

I love that shade of pink with a deep brown top, a lighter colored cardigan and a dark pair of jeans or A-line skirt. I also like the idea of gathering it with a brooch.

As for next month I think hair accessories would be interesting?

  108. Alice says:

For next month, I’d love to see something about your heels/flats/boots, especially in regards to color! Sure, most of us know how to pair neutral footwear with our wardrobe (and it’s definitely more of a safe go-to…), but what about when it’s used as more of a “color accessory” (albeit a more “bottomly” one)?

  109. Maria says:

Idea for next month…there have been so many good ones, but some are pretty restrictive. (Can you imagine having to wear a cardigan every day for a month??) So I would stick to an accessory, like shoes, or pick a trend (like florals) that can be interpreted in many different ways.

  110. Kate says:

For next month, focus on bags! I have a hard time finding versatile, stylish bags that I can fit everything in.

Don’t focus on belts — you have enough belt posts already ;)

  111. zee says:

I love the hair accesory suggestion for next month!

  112. zee says:

I like the idea of mixing hard & soft in an outfit, so I would style this fleecy scarf with my pyramid studded belt and dark denim.

  113. JB says:

I think it would be great to have a month featuring cardigans. I tend to wear them quite a bit and would love to have more ideas on how to style them.

  114. I would style it with a floral dress and brown sweater. Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

  115. cher says:

I think I would wear the pink with everything, but I do have a grey dress that I would love to pair it with. I think next month you should go for the belt. I am a recent fan of the belt, I love how it can make something big and shapeless feel just right. I always feel put together when I wear a belt.

  116. Emily says:

I have never really seen anyone wearing these. But, they are very different and interesting looking. I like the style of wrapping it multiple times around the neck snugly. The light pink color would allow for it to be worn with a lot of different colors.

  117. I think it would great to feature hair accessories next month.

  118. Tara van B. says:

I would go for a black or dark gray cardigan, gray trousers, and a neutral t-shirt…because while it works great for almost every casual combination in my closet, my office is freezing today and all I can think about is how cozy it would be!

  119. Sara says:

I’m not really into pink but the item is so gorgeous that I would love to give it a try!
I will style it with a green v-neck sweater and a black skirt or jeans.

  120. Sara says:

Also, as you three are goddesses of belts and I don’t know how to style them I will definitely choose belts for next month!

  121. Tara van B. says:

Next month, definitely bags. I am so lazy when it comes to switching handbags, and need inspiration! And beyond handbags–how do you stay stylish while carrying around mountains of academic stuff (or in my case, legal files)?

  122. Kate B says:

I would style the pink cowl scarf with gray – gray sweater, patterned gray skirt, patterned tights and my black boots. Pink and gray is one of my fave color combos, and having the pink up around my face might make me appear a little more well rested than I am!

  123. Kate B says:

And I second Tara van B’s mention that next month should be about bags! I have been meaning to send y’all an email asking about this very thing – how do you carry all your stuff around without looking like a bag lady? I am a grad student, a librarian, and a mom, and I always feel like a messy Sherpa when I leave the house in the a.m.!

Or, belts would be very helpful too. I am new to belting, and would appreciate any insight you have for those of us who are not confident about belting (yet)!

  124. minerrva says:

I’d style it as a faux-cowl with a warm ivory cashmere sweater, or with my gray coat.

  125. minerrva says:

And I also vote for belt tutorials. I can’t do the high-waist, over a sweater or jacket look. I end up feeling bunched.

  126. nancy says:

I love the pink neckscape…I think it would be the star of a neutral black and grey ensemble!

  127. Tina Z says:

I would style this with my funnel-neck chocolate brown puffer jacket for a fresh color combination. Thanks! tzappile@gmail.com

  128. I’d wear it with jeans and s white shirt.

  129. Nelly says:

I would wear this paired with black. Boring I know, but I think I need to feel it to be inspired! Hope I win!!!

  130. I’d love to see new ways to style cardigans next month.

  131. Nelly says:

I would like to see more on tights! That would be cool!

  132. Tina Z says:

I would like to see a month of jewelry (earrings, necklaces, brooches). A lot of mine sits on my dresser unworn but there are so many cool trends in jewelry to play with. (tzappile@gmail.com)

  133. Anna says:

Too cute. I’d wear the dark blue with my red v-neck cardi, and dark wash jeans.

  134. Katie says:

I love pink and navy (I know, how preppy of me), so I’d pair this with my navy corduroy jumper for a nice contrast of textures.

  135. Katie says:

And maybe an homage to cardigans next month?

  136. Kate Miller says:

I’d love to read about belts. I buy belts often but I don’t really know what to do with them besides the standard of wearing them with trousers.

I’m in grad school and working at an insurance company and am learning to dress more professionally and loose my college uniform (jeans and t-shirts.)

I’ve made a lot of progress but belts are one of the last pieces to tackle.

    HELP!

    Thanks, ladies.

  137. nancy says:

For next month, I will cast my vote for shoes!

  138. Melissa V says:

This scarf would be perfect for heading to work after an all-nighter for art school – pink to brighten up my face, and an interesting design to draw attention away from my dark circles!

  139. Melissa V says:

And I also vote for belts!

  140. Sarah says:

I would wear this NeckScape with a white v-neck shirt, gray cardigan and skinny jeans. Keep the rest plain so this unique accessory can pop!

  141. Sarah says:

I would also vote for belts for next month’s feature. I especially want thoughts about where to buy great ones!

  142. Michelle says:

I would style this NeckScape with a dark brown tee and a light tan cropped jacket. I think it would add interest to a neutral combination.

  143. Jessica says:

I second the idea of celebrating tights next month! I love the look on others but have a hard time figuring out how to wear brighter colored or patterned tights.

  144. Emily says:

I’d style it with a simple white tee, jeans, ballet flats, and a little blazer- preppy chic!

  145. Emily says:

For next month, definitely belts- I haven’t a clue about wearing them and always end up feeling very uncomfortable and conspicuous!

  146. Liz says:

How fun! I’d like to contrast the brightness with dark complements. So I’d wear a navy or gray sweater, dark jeans, and some fun flats that maybe echoed the color!

  147. Liz says:

Belts sound like an awesome theme for next month. I’m just barely starting my collection and need help!

  148. caroline says:

I love the scarf! I would wrap it two or three times around and add a flower pin/brooch, and wear it with simple solid colors, maybe jeans and a crisp white shirt.

  149. April says:

I would style this with my raspberry pink car coat, grey skirt and tall black boots. Make for a nice range of pink, all and down the value scale! I’m like the first commenter–Pink IS my neutral.

  150. Andrea says:

I would wear this with my white v-neck sweater, dark blue trouser jean, and my pink ballet flats. It would be perfect!

  151. caroline says:

And I second the idea of trousers/pants for the next month. I think they are a standard in everyone’s closet (especially in the winter), and I would love fun ideas to make pants more interesting!

  152. Jane Winkler says:

I’d wear this with a black bateau neck, black full skirt and black flats for a “balletic” look. For jewerly I’d keep it to pearl or diamond studs.

  153. April says:

Cardigans or belts for next month would be terrific. I’ve got lots of cardi’s but tend to wear them in a relatively generic fashion. Belts I just shy away from unless I really need them to hold up my pants! Ideas would be very helpful.

  154. Andrea says:

I would like you to showcase jewelry next month. How do you pick your pieces and wear multiples without looking like Mr. T.

  155. Jane Winkler says:

Like Tank Top, I’d like to see a “Trouser Month” on academichic. You’ve already done an amazing job with belts!!

  156. Meg says:

Add my voice to the chorus of requests that March be belt month! Y’all are so great at using belts to bring attention to the waist or bring a pop of color to an outfit, but I’m still wimping out with the belt-over-sweater look. I would love some belt tutorials!

  157. Kelsey R. says:

I’d pair it with a tight 3/4 sleeve v-neck shirt, gray and white stripes, and a casual pair of jeans with ballet flats. It adds that extra bit of warmth and colored accent.

  158. Kelsey R. says:

As for next month I’d love to see a jewelry focus. I have tons of great accent pieces but they’re really stand-alone. I’m interested in figuring out how to double or triple up my accessories.

  159. Sarah says:

I love pink and brown together.
I would pair this scarf with a brown sweather, jeans, and brown boots.

  160. Stevie says:

I would style this pink little scarf with light grey and black… I like this color combo!

  161. Holly says:

What a beautiful scarf! There are so many ways to style it, but I think I would first try it with a magenta cardi, black cami and jeans.

  162. Holly says:

What about a statement jewelery month? I recently inherited some incredible vintage pieces from my grandmother, and I could use some inspiration!

  163. Rose says:

I’ve never seen a scarf like this…this is my first encounter with this style…I have no idjea how I would war it, but trust me if I win it, its going to go in all my weekend wear.

  164. Amanda says:

I would style this with just about all my winter outfits! love it. my “mid-weight” winter coat is maroon, so I think it would play nicely as an accent color, and I have multiple solid colored v-neck and crew neck sweaters…the pink would go with all of them I think. Finally, I would pair the sweater, scarf, and jeans with converse (purple!)

  165. Amanda says:

next month features should be anything! my first thought was “tights” but that might be hard with the changing season (warmer weather)….

  166. Emily says:

I’d pair this with nice olive greens and warm browns.

Next month’s topic: incorporating jewelry for the accessory-phobic

  167. Annie says:

All this snow makes me wish for bright spring colors. I’d wear this with a soft green shirt and jeans.

  168. Annie says:

I think it’d be cool to see some stuff involving hair — scarves, sparkly clips, headbands, etc…

  169. Brooke says:

I would wear it with my grey wool puff sleeved sweater and pinstriped trousers. Maybe I can finally keep my neck warm! And toss on a denim topper coat. I would like to see shoes too, but include boots more? Especially the boots+tights+shorts combo and boots + dress. I cannot get either right (yet). :)

  170. Cassandra says:

I just realized that I have absolutely nothing pink in my wardrobe. Nothing! (Well, nothing on public display.) This would obviously save me from matchy-matchiness, though. I think that neckscape would be lovely with my fitted gray vest, over some kind of neutral-colored knit top and dark straight jeans.

  171. Cassandra says:

I’d like to see an earring series. Y’all wear some nifty ones, and I am a sucker for statement earrings anyway. It’s hard to gauge how to make them play nicely with the rest of the outfit, though.

  172. Rose says:

Also I need help with belts…so please any ideas would be fantastic!!!

  173. Sarah says:

I’d pair the scarf with a gray or blue t-shirt with jeans or khaki’s. I think March should feature March Madness for shoes.

  174. Christy says:

I would wear it with a grey shirt, dark jeans and my grey wedges. It’s way cute!

  175. Michelle says:

I vote for belts next month as well. It would be awesome to get some tips on how to style/make belts from unexpected items.

  176. Laura says:

Gosh, this simple scarf would look wonderful style anyway. But I would love to use it with a blazer to add a splash of color to an outfit.

  177. Laura says:

I think next month you should celebrate jackets! (I love a good spring trench)

  178. Cara says:

Without knowing exactly how it’s constructed, I don’t know if this would work / hang right, but I’d like to see it just hanging around the neck without any loops, with even the most basic outfit of black tunic / black skinny jeans.

  179. Tracey says:

The “stringy” makes it look lighter than a winter scarf and the pink color makes me think it will be perfect in about a month when the calendar says spring but the weather here still says winter. I would use it with my winter neutrals, mainly chocolate, for a pop of spring.

  180. Tracey says:

I agree with another commenter who suggested jackets as they are great transition pieces, or perhaps just transitions pieces in general – I find the winter to spring transition the hardest to master.

  181. Adrianna says:

I’d style it with all the black/brown neutral tops I’ve got to help bring some color up near my face (you’d think I’d have figured it out by now). I also think it would look nice paired with a particularly drape-y cowl neck that might otherwise be too low for the workplace. A nice grey wooly cowl, mmm.

  182. Adrianna says:

And for the next theme month, I Nth tights. Perhaps combined with shoes (flats, pretty please!) since I think it might be hard to have a month of just tights.

  183. aj says:

Since Seattle is still chilly in Spring, this will be a great way to keep warm with a spring color – I’d wear it with navy blue and white.

  184. JanetB says:

I’d wear the pink scarf with my blue denim jacket or my olive corduroy jacket.

  185. aj says:

I’d like to see a month of necklaces — big “statement” ones but also more delicate ones.

  186. JanetB says:

I’d like to see a feature on jewelry. I always admire people who wear lovely bracelets and necklaces but have no idea how and don’t want to invest in pieces I’m not sure how to wear.

  187. Annie says:

I would wear this scarf with my favorite black faded jeans and a white shirt!

  188. Annie says:

Do a month on jackets! I can never decide how heavy of a jacket to wear out when its cold but not too cold.

  189. Carla says:

I have a red trench coat that I would wear with a white turtleneck skinny jeans and red heels.

  190. another a says:

i would wear it with navy and make a nautical inspired look out of it. i love light pink with navy!

  191. JustMe says:

i would wear it with skinny dark jeans and green/teal sweater… so nice!

  192. another a says:

i like the idea of doing a month of fun earrings or statement necklaces, but i think it could be fun to do a month of headbands!

  193. JustMe says:

ooh, and how about a month on tights, cool socks, etc!!

  194. Brianna says:

I would wear this around the house in my jammies all day while writing a term paper.

I would wear this with hues of grey to add a touch of femininity. I would wear it with a delicate ruffly blouse to add fun to an otherwise boring day.

I would wear this to hide my head when I receive letters of rejections to Ph.D. programs.

  195. I vote a month of punchy printed handbags as a way to add texture and vitality to your wardrobe.

  196. Dana says:

I would wear it wrapped twice as shown in the picture over a white fitted tee shirt with my floral skirt, white tights and peanut flats!

  197. Dana says:

Next month It would be super cool if you gave away a sun hat or some sunglasses to celebrate the upcoming warm weather…plus who doesn’t love hats and sunglasses?

  198. Carla says:

As for next month I would prefer shoes over belts, but there have been some other good suggestions also. What ever you decide I will be following along, I love you blog.

  199. Adie says:

Next month… focus on belts! I never have any idea what to do with them or end up looking awkward =)

  200. Jon says:

My girlfriend really likes this blog so I wanted to win this scarf for her. I think she would look cute wearing this scarf with a white jacket and jeans.

  201. Bobbie says:

I would style it with a beautiful and bright safety vest, hard hat, and glorious steel toe boots. That’s right. I would wear this puppy in the field and do some science with it wrapped around my cold, cold neck. I would make a statement that would say, “Yeah, I can hang with all you boys, but I’m still a girl at heart.”

  202. Steph says:

I think I would wear it with a navy blue v-neck and khaki slacks, or with a gray cardigan, cream undershirt, and dark washed jeans!

As this is my first time commenting, I have to say–I love this blog! I’ve had a hard time making “work clothes” or “school clothes” outfits that were fairly conservative but still cute. Thanks so much for the inspiration.

And I vote for an earring month!

  203. Jon says:

Next month should be leggings/tights (they look the same to me…)

  204. Olivia says:

If this post gets picked for the giveaway, please pick another–I love the neckscape scarves, but I’m too pale to pull of pastels (especially pinks and yellows that are close to my skin color), and I’m sure someone else would get a great deal more wear out of it!

I do, however, want to vote for a skirt month, especially with spring coming up. I love the versatility of skirts, but almost never wear them because I just don’t know how to do it without feeling like little Bo Peep! My style tends more towards bold designs and colors, and sometimes a little punk rock twist. But I’m sure (or, I hope anyway…) that type of style doesn’t have to stay away from skirts, or academia. I’d love to see you ladies explore them soon!

  205. Theresa says:

I would wear it with a gray v-neck sweater and dark slacks (or maybe even dark jeans).

  206. Theresa says:

I would love to see a month dedicated to flats.

  207. Gina Padilla says:

I love to wear black during these cold months so it would add a splash of color to my outfit.

  208. Gina Padilla says:

Next month I would love to see all about flats.

  209. Jess says:

I’d wear it with a tan boyfriend cardi, off-white top and dark wash jeans and brown boots.

  210. Jess says:

Next month, I’d love to see a feature on statement jewelry!

  211. Michelle R. says:

I’d wear it with wrapped twice (cowl neck style) with a black sweater, black pencil skirt, tights and a great pair of black Mary Jane heels. Maybe it’s the 80s girl in me, but I love black and pink!

  212. Michelle R. says:

I’d love to see a belt month. I’m a bit “belt challenged” and you ladies know how to work a belt. I’ve already started wearing my cardigans belted thanks to you and would love more ideas. Thanks for your great blog!!

  213. Yolanda says:

Black slim jacket with pink scarf paired with black denim jeans & ankle boots.

  214. laniza says:

I’d pair this scarf with either coral or turquoise for a fun twist.

  215. laniza says:

I’d like to see a jeans month. Or a hair style/maintenance month.

  216. joan says:

Ooh, I love it! I would style it two different ways:

For work, with black or gray pants and a black, dark pink, or purple sweater.

On the weekends: with jeans and my favorite big blue sweater.

  217. joan says:

The scarf focus has been fantastic and inspiring.

For next month, I’d love to see pants as the focus.

  218. Sally says:

I don’t do a lot of pink, so I had to think about this one. I think I’d do jeans, an off-white top, my brown velvet blazer, and the pink scarf.

  219. Sally says:

Also, I’d love to see a month that focused on shoes. I’ve gradually gone from hating shoe shopping to enjoying it a bit (thanks to living for two and a half years in Eastern Europe).

  220. Joni says:

This fleecy scarf/scape looks warm to me, I could see pairing with a cardigan if I’m somewhere drafty or my gray peacoat and using a big kilt pin to add some solidness to the scarf and anchor the strands a bit.

  221. Joni says:

I would welcome a month where you celebrate jewelry as accessory. I would like to be more creative with how I wear my limited collection of jewelry.

  222. Jade Garcia says:

I would style this adorable pink scarf with a black pea coat and skinny jeans with black ballerina flats.. oh im so predictable! I would love for you to feature shoes! Check out the report celia flats I just got! Love em!

  223. Rose says:

I would wear this scarf casually with a cream sweater and dark denim jeans. I think that I would wear it looped to keep me warm in all of the DC snow.

  224. Rose says:

Next month, I would love to see you all feature belts. All of you are so creative and good with belting that I would love to see you all experiment more with it.

  225. Eileen says:

Casual look: with jeans and a black tee, wrapped three times.

Work-casual look: with gray slacks, black blouse, teal sweater, wrapped twice.

  226. Eileen says:

Also, sometime I’d love to see hats/hair accessories.

  227. Julia says:

    Gasp!

I just added the purple one to my etsy cart! Pink is totally not my color, but I plan on styling my purple one with any of my v-neck boyfriend tees that I tend to wear under cardigans to work.

  228. Julia says:

I agree with hair accessories, but since that doesn’t seem to be you ladies’ style, i need to see belts.

Love belts! I belt constantly and would love to see your variety of interpretations.

  229. Dolores says:

This is such a great item! I would wear this with my favorite grey teaching dress (a very charcoal-y, simple, yet flattering silhouette), grey tights, and black flats: I’d let it take center stage AND keep my neck warm!

  230. Dolores says:

Next month, I’d love to see you focus on boots. I’m a self-proclaimed boot FANATIC and I have many pairs and I notice that you ladies all seem to favor boots as well: let’s hear your expert opinions!

  231. Sarah says:

I would wear that scarf with my soft white lacy bubble skirt and a black crew neck shirt. So cute!

  232. Sarah says:

I think next month you should celebrate shoes :) I would love to see more ways to style flats, seeing as I’m a huge wearer of ballet flats, oxfords, maryjanes…

  233. mbbored says:

For work, I’d wear it with my dark trouser cut jeans, long sleeve grey tee shirt and my dark red ankle boots. That way I can have a pop of color sticking out of my lab coat and a way to keep warm in a drafty lab that doesn’t add bulk under my lab coat or risk dangling into my experiments.

  234. mbbored says:

Next month, as a person who’s life needs a lot of flats, I’d love to see more of those.

  235. Kelley says:

I would wear it with a white tee and a teal cardi and some yellow flats.

  236. Kelley says:

You should totes feature belting! I want to start wearing belts, but I don’t really know where to start.

  237. Ryane says:

I’d wear this with a long, thin cardigan and lacy shirt underneath. Super cute!

  238. Ryane says:

Oh, and in the upcoming months, I’d love to see you feature shoes– especially with spring just around the corner (I’m an optimist).

  239. Julia says:

Love the gorgeous neckscapes you guys have been sporting. The pink one is gorgeous – I would probably wear it wrapped around my neck loosely twice and pair it with an outfit of neutrals – beige and pale pink striped cardigan, white or cream blouse with khaki trousers and red flats.

  240. Julia says:

How about a monthly feature on jewelry – either necklaces or earrings?

  241. Danielle says:

This pink neck scape is really feminine. I would wear it with my light brown knit, dark blue jeans and chocolate boots.

  242. Danielle says:

For next month, I would like to suggest accessories. In particular, how you can use accessories to complete change the look of an outfit. It is also a great way to save money!

  243. Revanche says:

I would love to try styling this scarf using the braided technique I read about here last night. (I read in chunks, so I get all kinds of ideas at once, probably a bad idea.)

  244. Revanche says:

Also, for next month I plead with you to do a series on belting. I’ve been trying to supplement my single sad basic black belt that’s utterly functional and wholly forgettable.

I just can’t seem to pinpoint a good starter belt to complement or bridge my wardrobe and my Wish List wardrobe.

  245. Audrey says:

I would love to see you do shoes as your next feature! It is hard finding a balance between elegance and comfort, especially if your feet are not shaped like a narrow triangle.

  246. Audrey says:

I would style this neckscape with a masculine blazer for a daily look, to balance out the girliness of the pink.

I’d style it with a red knit dress on weekends for fun!

  247. Ann says:

I would style this lovely scarf with a brown knit dress & blazer for a more dressy look.

  248. Lauren says:

What a fabulous color! I would wear it with my black sheath dress, grey tights and blazer, and black boots.

  249. Lauren says:

I would love to see what you ladies would do with tights / socks. I’m into the layering look lately, and would love some new ideas!

  250. Dee says:

What a beautiful scarf! I would wear this with a cozy sweater, and skinnies tucked in boots.

  251. Dee says:

I would love to see a tutorial on belts. This is one aspect of fashion that eludes me!

  252. Elizabeth Ann says:

I’d wear the scarf with a bright blue v-neck top paired with a black pencil skirt for a look that’s colorful but still professional enough for teaching.

  253. Elizabeth Ann says:

I’d love for you to devote a month to coats, blazers and jackets. It’s so cold around here some days I rarely take mine off and I still haven’t figured out how to wear a blazer or jacket underneath a coat.

  254. LaShonda Maxie says:

I would to wear it as a belt( if the length and stretch permitted) with the strands opened with a large brooch in the middle. Quirky, I know but that is my style.

  255. Mary says:

I’d wear it with dark wash jeans and my black structured knit jacket. And probably yellow flats.

  256. Abbie says:

I love pink and brown together — I’d probably pair this with a brown cardi.

  257. LaShonda Maxie says:

I would love to see you guys showcase your purses, totes and things of that nature.

  258. Abbie says:

Let’s talk about hair accessories next!

  259. Patty says:

Love this scarf! I would wrap it around my neck and tuck the ends into my cardigan sweater or blazer and then put a vintage rhinestone pin on the scarf! Fun!

  260. Hazel says:

I think this scarf would soften up an menswear-inspired outfit, like a schoolboy blazer with corduroys and boots.

  261. Patty says:

Next month, I would love to see you focus on skirts and transitioning from winter to spring…

  262. Hazel says:

I’d love more tutorials on belts too, please. My body shape is like S’s but every time I try to wear a belt it’s always the wrong width and made me more self-conscious. Help to the clueless belters!

  263. Amy M says:

I’d wear the pink neck scape with my brown corduroy skirt, cognac boots, and lavendar floral t-shirt from UO. Thanks!

  264. Amy M says:

…and I’d LOVE to see you feature shoes! Thanks in part to you lovely ladies, I’m now confidently rocking the boots, but I’m not sure how to pull off much else. :-) help!

  265. Clara says:

Lovely scarf. It’s been fun seeing the Academic Chics styling it this past week.

I’d wear it with a long-sleeved grey knit dress, grey textured tights and knee-high black boots with a flat heel. I’d add multiple silver bracelets (and, hmmmmm, perhaps a black beret).

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  266. Clara says:

My second post — would love to see and hear your advice on wearing belts: thin ones, wide ones, obis, simple versus ornate, etc. Thanks.

  267. Amanda B. says:

I could pair that with just about anything, since purple and blue are my neutrals. I have a favorite navy blue scoopneck tee that I love because it fits so perfectly, and I could use this scarf to make it less plain while still keeping all the comfort factor.

    Amanda

  268. Amanda B. says:

Oh, and I would LOVE to see you all do either shoes or bags next month. Both are items I sometimes struggle with, because it’s difficult at times to balance practicality with the yearning to be fashionable.

Shoes are difficult because I A) want shoes that are professional and appropriate, B) want ones that are cute and make me feel good, and C) want ones that I can comfortably walk in!

I don’t see a lot of bags on Academichic but I’d love to see them get a shout out. I don’t know about you, but I’m constantly schlepping folders and paperwork and research materials all over the place, and it can be hard to do that both comfortably and in style. Even if you don’t do a bag month, I’d love to see a post or two on the bags you use frequently.

    Amanda

  269. Jennifer says:

Jewelry would be a great theme for next month – sometimes I have a difficult time knowing whether to go understated or to plan my outfit around a necklace or earrings that really stand out.

Bags might be interesting, too – especially if you included some new ways to organize things inside big, one-compartment tote-style bags.

  270. Jen says:

I’d style this going for a kinda preppy look… a grey knitted dress, black cardi, burgundy tights and black penny loafers.

  271. Jen says:

It would be fab if you devoted some posts to styling shoes. I think one of the hardest thing to do is getting out of the comfort zone with shoes. I walk everywhere so comfort wins over style most of the time and I think my shoes can be a let down to my style.

  272. A-C says:

I would love a neck scape to add some interest to a dress.

  273. A-C says:

Belts! Next month do belts, please?

  274. Mindi says:

Pink scares me, but it actually looks really good against my skin. I would pair it with some neutrals. Probably a gray shirt of sweater with a simple neckline and a black pencil skirt with some nice black or brown boots.

  275. Cate says:

I have to admit I’m entirely sure how it works, so I’m not quite sure how to style it. But I love it anyway. It would go beautifully with my dark blue wool schoolboy blazer, a gray flared skirt, and my black motorcycle boots.

  276. Cate says:

I’d love a month on bags because I’m a bit clueless about them.

  277. Beth says:

I love navy with pink and I would style it with my navy cardigan.

  278. Beth says:

I would love a month on hairstyles. How to change up your look.

  279. Ann says:

I would love to see jewelry highlighted!

  280. Sarah says:

I wear flats (almost) daily… so I think it would be neat to see you all in flats (maybe this will be possible since the weather should be warming up!)

  281. teri says:

hello! i would wear this lovely neckscape as a cowl — i LOV cowl neck sweaters–so maybe go “matchy matchy” with a pink cashmere sweater and grey trousers, wide black belt at the waist, and black booties.

Continued thanks for doing these generous give-a-ways! :)

    teri

  282. teri says:

welp, my suggestion for your next giveaway would be a necklace….they are one size fits all, and your accessories are always inspiring. :)

    thanks
    teri

  283. Amy says:

Thanks for the giveaway opportunity! I think I would style this with a simple t-shirt, maybe in white for a springy look or maybe a light brown color.

  284. Amy says:

Next month I would love it if you could focus on belts! I’ve been trying to add belting to my wardrobe but I keep feeling like I’m doing it all wrong!

  285. Melissa says:

This is such a pretty pink, and looks *so* cozy. I’d have to try to see exactly what I could make this scarf do, but I have visions of this matched with a very monochromatic black outfit (boots, tights, skirt, sweater) but with the pink brought in by showing the cuffs of a bright pink shirt under my sweater and a patterned pink vest at the waist.

Or, for outdoor wear, this soft pink would look great with my long/heavy, grey, wool coat.

  286. Melissa says:

This may be a little out there, but for the next month I’d love to see what you can do with cardigans. Spring is coming, but it still seems a long way off. How can cardigans be used to make a winter outfit look more spring-like? Or how can they be used to make a slightly more summery outfit appropriate for the very early spring?

  287. lg says:

I like this scarf over a crew neck top under a jacket.

  288. design_SMITH says:

I’ve enjoyed seeing how you’re styling these scarfs – I love scarfs and it’s getting me out of my ‘European loop’ rut. I love pink (although I err towards a melon-y pink) I would probably style this with a pink sweater, brown fine-wale twirling cord skirt, tights and flats.

  289. design_SMITH says:

For March? Tights!!! Or if you want something a that doesn’t require showing leg, broaches!

  290. Laura G says:

Love the scarf! Looking at it on a shelf I bet I never would have liked it, but seeing it on you guys, it is so cute!! I’d def. style it with something navy blue, a button down sweater probably.

  291. Laura G says:

Next item I’d like to see is: BAGS! I am a student/have an internship, so I am walking around a lot with books, laptop, notebook, lunch, water, etc. I would really like to see what kind of bags or totes you pair with your outfits that are cute, but can also carry a lot without breaking your shoulder. I usually end up using my backpack, which is so NOT cute with work attire. :)

  292. Sara says:

I would wear this with brown and denim, but it could go great with so many items and colors! Lovely.

  293. Sara says:

Belts, please! I would really love to learn more about styles, fits, widths, and how to pair them well.

  294. Rudi J. says:

I would style it with a navy jersey dress and brown knee-high boots.

  295. Rudi J. says:

Next month, I would like to see you celebrate belts!

  296. Laurel says:

I’d wear this with my jean jacket.

  297. Laurel says:

I vote for belts for next month.

  298. T. says:

I would love the opportunity to play around with this cool accessory. Thanks for the fun give-away.

  299. Bonnie says:

I would rock the neckscape with a low v-neck shirt, for just a little triangle of cleavage peeking out. :) (Not for work!)

  300. Bonnie says:

I’d like to see a month dedicated to celebrating legwear/footwear–socks and tights!!

  301. Anne says:

I would wear the neckscape with a navy blue dress with some light pink jewelry to complement the scarf.

  302. Anne says:

    Next month should be shoes!

  303. Sophie says:

LOVE THIS SCARF (although I love the yellow one even more)! I’d like wear it with a brown blouse, jeans, and boots.

  304. Sophie says:

I second the idea for a belt month

  305. Michelle says:

I would wear the neckscape with a button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up and wool shorts with boots/tights.

  306. Michelle says:

Oh, and next month should be all about shoes!

  307. Ericka says:

I would style this with a black ballet neck/wide scoop neck long sleeved top and probably nice gray slacks. The black and pink always makes me think of ballerinas, which is always a nice elegant image. It looks so comfy!

  308. Ericka says:

    It’s all about the shoes!!!!!!!
I would love to see a shoe feature; I can always use new ideas.

  309. spacegeek says:

I would wear this with grey or a black dress to highlight the warm color. I also love wearing brown and pink, so for spring I could see my brown dress, nude fishnets with printed shoes, and this as the pink accent.

  310. spacegeek says:

I have serious issues with belts… I don’t like the “shelf effect” I get when belting as I have an ample chest. Also I’m short-waisted, so there is not much room between boobs and belt! None of you is shaped like me, but still, a belt tutorial would be helpful!

  311. Goober says:

So pretty and pink! I would wear it with a grey top, jeans, and cute flats.

  312. Cassie says:

i do love that soft pink. i would pair it with my fav purple shirt and some cute jeans to the bar.

  313. Melissa says:

Love this one! I just put it on my TWIP (this week in pics) on my blog! It’s even the pink one… If I don’t win it, I will have to buy one. They are soooo cute!

I would style it wide and loose – so it looks like a fabulous collar over a long sleeve tee. Or maybe tucked in to my black blazer… who knows. I know I’ll love it either way!

  314. Melissa says:

My wish for next week’s topic is how to style shoes during the spring when it’s still cold but not quite cold enough for boots. Thanks for all the inspiration!

  315. Heather says:

I love wearing pink. I’d pair this with a cream sweater, skinny jeans and my brown riding boots.

  316. Heather says:

I’d love to see a month styling with belts.

  317. Barbara Watson says:

I like using pink instead of red with white and blue. White tank with a white button up shirt; navy skirt; navy tights; gray privos.

  318. Barbara Watson says:

Belt styling would have my undivided attention.

  319. Mindi says:

Bags. Handbags, backpacks, messenger bags. As grad students, we have to carry so much stuff, how do you all do it fashionably?

  320. Stevie says:

as for next month… I would like to see different ways to incorporate hats and hair accessories into your wardrobes.

  321. Lillian says:

I have this cute tank dress that’s navy blue on the top and a pink print on the skirt that would go great with the neckscape.

  322. Lillian says:

Hair accessories does sound like a great idea! I think sometimes we put so much effort into our outfit and we forget our hairstyle.

  323. r says:

I like the look of the pink and gray in the picture so I’d wear it with a gray sweater, dark jeans, and black boots.

  324. r says:

I’d like to see a month of earrings :)

  325. Jen says:

I love to wear pink with brown so I’d probably pair it with a brown skirt and cream sweater!

  326. Jen says:

I’d like to see a month done on belts- I am terrible at incorporating them into my outfits!

  327. Clare says:

I think I’d keep it casual with this one and pair it with a long sleeve tee, and skinnies tucked into tall boots. Lovely!

  328. Karen says:

I’d most likely put it with a crisp, grey button front shirt in the longer necklace style. But, I also think that the pink could brighten up a carmel brown nicely.

  329. Karen says:

I would love a month on belts. I am just starting to try to use belts more in my outfits and I need some inspiration.

  330. Romy says:

I’d go for a structured, gray top with a brown pencil skirt. Gray and pink are always great together.

  331. Romy says:

I would LOVE to see more on jewelry here at academichic :)

  332. Sare says:

I would use it to soften my favorite military style jacket.

  333. kim says:

i would wear it with my brown pleather bomber jacket and a drapey cream-colored romeo and juliet-style tunic, over darkwash skinny jeans and my bright emerald green ballet flats!

  334. kim says:

and next month? i’d love to see belts! old braided belts, thick stretchy 80s belts, underboob belts, over cardigan belts, brightly contrasting belts, random leather belts with countryside scenes and a stranger’s name stamped on them! belts belts belts!!!

  335. Grace says:

I would style the pink scarf with a white top and black, brown, or gray pants – let the scarf pop against some neutrals. I would love you to focus on belts next month. I just can’t figure out belt proportions.
