    Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.

  59. angie~* says:

i LOVE the cloe cashmere loop scarves! i’ve noticed that almost all the scarves on their site resemble indian scarves and don’t get me wrong, i love them, but living in Australia and wearing scarves like that make me feel totally indian (since i’ve got indian blood). I’m afraid i might come off as a foreigner trying to incorporate traditional indian clothes (or parts of it) into western outfits, and looking like I’m trying too hard to blend in, when I’m actually sticking out. Hmmm, maybe I’m just realllly self conscious. That’s why although I love all their scarves and have a pretty large collection of scarves myself, I’d go for the Cloe loop scarf. It doent scream India and it’s unique. I’d love to win that!

  60. Elena says:

Lovely! I would style it with a grey A-line dress I have, green velvet blazer, green tights, and boots.

  68. I would wrap this on a white dress to highlight the nice colors.

Hello! I would style this scarf with a white button town tunic top, black leggings and black ridding boots!
    Melanie

  88. E says:

That’s a nice scarf, is what I’d probably think if I saw it hanging in my closet after I wake up late tomorrow morning. I’d shower, brush my teeth, blow dry my hair, and wear a lycra cotton blend mid-calf black skirt that I bought some time in the 90s when Caroline Kennedy was the same style (before she died, of course), and then I’ll top it with a black mock turtle neck three-quarter sleeved sweater, and some silver stud earrings, black loafers, and then I’d remove the scarf that is hanging in my closet and loop it around my neck, European-style. I’d probably look in the mirror on my way out and then decide to double up on scarves, looping another one, a soft blue-grey shade, around my neck. And finally, after a quick hot tea for breakfast and some toast, I’d walk into the cloudy city and catch a tram to the library to return my overdue books… and I’d probably be in a quiet mood, knowing that I had got up and dressed that day thinking about austerity and overdue fines and coffee stalls sold out of muffins.

My favourite scarf on the Nepali TDM Design website is the masino due scarf in “fire”.

  89. Melanie says:

As for my favorite scarf from the site, i like the Tally Cashmere Scarf in toffee or biking red.
    Thanks!

Oooh… that is beautiful. and it would look so good over my thin, dark gray sweater with jeans and my purple booties. Cuddly.

  94. PL says:

I like the Spring/Summer line – especially the Mimi Silk Scarf.

  97. Katy says:

  98. Jessica says:

This scarf has my two favorite colors!!

I would definitely want the scarf to be the highlight of the outfit — I’d likely wear it w/a grey tunic, skinny jeans, and grey boots, and my eye makeup would be grey and purple as well.

  112. Sally says:

My favorite Nepali scarves are definitely the cashmere ones!

  113. Ahh, their scarves are so luscious! I am obsessed with tie-dye (I love the thrill of doing tie-dye myself, the moment when you rinse something out and see the design/colors is magical!). The Sarah Crinkle-Darcy scarf is amazing, cashmere/silk, so luxurious!

  114. Ecochic says:

beautiful scarf! i would style this beauty with my brown tunic dress and grey leggings, and a skinny belt to hold her down and show off the patterning.

  115. Kelly says:

I would buy the Stoney Creek Cashmere Scarf in Melon. I’m loving the color and pattern of that scarf.

  116. Chelsea says:

oooh fabulous giveaway! i’d style this scarf with dark skinny jeans, my elbow length gray tunic, and a black vest. it’s so versatile though, I’d have so many options!

  130. Lisa says:

There is nothing more sastifying than the ability of a scarf to make a sparse wardrobe versatile and chic– the soft purple reminds one of royalty and the gray makes it ordinary to wear with the thrift store black suits, dresses, and jeans of a student intern (me!).

  131. minerrva says:

light-weight cashmere–what a great investment piece that would work for 3 seasons out of four!

right now I would pair it with my slim black motorcycle jacket and dark wash jeans; and in spring with my gray twill skirt and mustard canvas jacket…dreaming

  140. Kae says:

That scarf is brilliant. It’s like every important defining trait in my closet- scarves, purple, gray, and stripes- in one item.

I would wear that with my dark wash super-skinny jeans and purple flats, my favorite luxurious black shirt, my soft gray cardigan, and then the scarf in a European knot. Silver bangle bracelets. My favorite purple Nine West purse. :)

  141. Melissa says:

Now that I’ve checked out the site, I have to say that I’m loving their Mascino Due scarves!

  142. Kinsey says:

I have a turquoise sweater that that scarf would look fab against!

  143. Mary says:

All their scarves are gorgeous but what girl wouldn’t want to add a cashmere scarf to her collection?!:) Definitely my fav!!

I’d also wear my large hoop earrings with freshwater pearls dangling from them. For the bottom, probably a denim pencil skirt and some booties or skinny jeans and some cowboy boots!

  160. Annie says:

The Rosa Silk Scarf- Dash – in Purple Magic.

  161. Melissa says:

I’m not sure I’d do anything very exciting with this scarf, but I have a navy cord blazer, a pair of dark jeans, and a grey turtleneck that would probably appreciate a pop of colour in a scarf!

  162. Tracy says:

I’d wear this scarf with my black t-shirt dress, grey knit tights and black boots. I think I’d have to make some new gray and purple earrings to match!

I love the Masino Due Silk Scarf in Sun. The colors are so bright and vibrant!

  171. b*schus says:

this scarf is GORGEOUS! I’m fairly obsessed with gray, and the pop of purple would be so welcome to many of my gray and black winter outfits. I would wear this with black slouchy flat boots, dark gray skinny cords and a long, cream scoop-neck lightweight sweater–maybe the addition of a skinny patent leather black belt too!

  172. SK says:

Grey shoes, dark trouser jeans, black button down shirt, and a thin black belt (belted scarf!).

  173. Laura D. says:

I’d probably wear it to the office: Black skinnies, black cardi, white tank with grey flats.

    That scarf is gorgeous!!!

  174. SK says:

Stoney creek cashmere scarf is gorgeous in teal!

  175. Abbi says:

I love grey and purple together! I’d probably pair it with a cream or green shirt. Or maybe orange, if I was feeling particularly colorful.

  176. Sarah says:

I would wear this scarf in the European loop style over a yellow v-neck t-shirt with a gray cardigan and skinny jeans. Purple flats would complete the look. If I were wearing it to work, I would swap out the skinny jeans for a black or denim pencil skirt.

  177. Barbara Watson says:

If I owned that scarf, it would be double looped around my neck right now! My open neck tees have no appeal without a scarf during this cold weather. How about a black tee with grey twill slacks…black boots and grey belt.

  178. Barbara Watson says:

Claire Cotton Scarf in sea green looks good to me for heading into spring.

  179. teri says:

Hello. Thank you for doing this give-away. :)

    teri

  180. G says:

I’d style it with my navy V-neck sweater with a purple tank underneath. And some pretty purple and silver toned jewelry. Oooh- hope i win- thanks for the giveaway!

  181. teri says:

I have to say that I love the Nepali by TDM Design’s silk scarf line. Simply beautiful, and I just live the feel of silk. So luxurious!

  182. G says:

I love the stoney creek cashmere scarf- such an interesting design and I love all the colors it comes in. A little expensive though.

  183. Kaylyn says:

Im thinking my gray pencil skirt with a white v neck tee and my purple fishnets over my black tights. Keep it simple and let the scarf be the centerpiece. Thanks for another awesome give away!!

I would style the purple and gray give-away scarf with a denim pencil skirt, black long-sleeved T, super cozy cream-colored wool cardi, black tights and brown heeled boots.

  185. Emily from Philly says:

I have a lightweight, scoopneck, elbow-sleeve sweaterdress/tunic that I like to wear over slim dark jeans tucked into flat brown boots. This scarf would go perfectly, twisted up around my neck (cowl style).

Thanks ladies… and have a happy weekend!

  186. Joni says:

I also love the Nepali Bamere “circles scarf” in fuchsia. I love that its 70% bamboo. It would look great with a bright blue woven button-down dress shirt and navy skirt or trousers.

I would wear this with jeans and a yellow top — I am loving yellow and purple together!

  191. Alison says:

  195. Mary says:

I really love the Bamere Circles Scarf!

  196. Dolores says:

What a gorgeous scarf! My favorite neutrals are grey and black, so I’d probably let the scarf take center stage and match it with a grey top, black skinny jeans, and grey boots (I have three pairs…)

  197. Teresa says:

I’m liking the Bambi grande scarf.

  198. That is a beautiful scarf! I would love to wear it with my favorite grey-brown sweater dress, some grey tights and bright purple shoes!

  199. I love the scrunchy design, I think I’ve seen it on one of you ladies before? I also love the bright red woven design that comes up on their homepage, but I didn’t spot it anywhere else. It’s the first one in the slideshow, I kept refreshing the page to look at it again. Le sigh.

  200. A.B. says:

I immediately thought of pairing it with a charcoal gray cardigan, jeans, and black riding boots… and most likely wearing it in the “loop-and-tie” style – my current favorite. I like the idea of having the purple in the scarf be the principal bit of color in an otherwise neutral outfit.

  201. joan says:

I love this scarf! I wear purple and gray all the time and might in fact have worn it today with my gray pants, purple shirt, and black sweater, around my neck.

    Gorgeous!

I would pair this scarf with my dark grey pencil skirt, white cardigan, and purple ballet flats. I know that’s getting a little matchy-matchy with the colors, but this scarf can definitely handle it!

  208. Katie says:

And as for the rest of the Nepali by TDM Designs, the scrunchy cashmere scarf in Golden Poppy may be the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. And I may have to get it for myself, regardless.

Love it! I’d wear it with black skinnies, a white tee, grey boyfriend cardigan, and my favorite grey patent pumps.

  215. joceline says:

for long scarves I’ve discovered a new way to wear them–I just tie the ends in two individual knots (so there is some weight at the end). Then I just let the scarf hang around my neck (no tying or anything, just like a long vest). It stays down because of the knots–it works perfectly with those long cotton or pashmina scarves.

since I love purple and yellow, AND grey and yellow, I’d pair the scarf with a mustard yellow long sleeve scoopneck tee and brown leggings (I totally caved into the leggings as pants trend…but I live on a college campus so it’s more normal there) tucked into brown harness Fryes.

  216. joceline says:

and I love the cotton scarves from Nepali Designs!

  217. Beth says:

Love the scarf month. This is so helpful – I have tons and you have already given me so many new ideas.
P.S. E that skirt is fabulous!!! don’t get rid of it. Looks great on you.
Thanks to all three of you, love this blog, wish more academics would realize that we CAN be stylish on campus!

  223. Maria says:

I love to wear my scarves in a simple loose knot, although I love the idea of wearing a brooch or embellishment on one side, and having the scarf tied slightly to the other side, like was shown in a recent post; what a great idea!

  224. Lks says:

Oh forgot to tell you how I’d style this beautiful purple and gray number.
Looks long enough to wear in a bulky wrap around the neck with gray cords or skirt and gray cardi.
    Love it!

  225. Maria says:

Oh, and I just love the sound of bamboo scarves! I have a couple shirts in bamboo fabric, and they are the softest, most comfiest shirts ever. :)

  226. Lks says:

cashmere – thats my difficult to pick favorite from Nepali.

I looked at Nepali scarves and they are all lovely, but I think I like the Spring/Summer scarves the most.

I have a pair of black elbow-length gloves that I’d add to the mix.

    TDM’s scarves are gorgeous!

  250. TD says:

  251. Clara says:

Coming back for a second post. It’s not easy to select among these beautiful scarves, but the silk line looks especially yummy.

  252. Jessica S says:

I love their Masino Due scarves, especially the Starry night and Water scarves. Beautiful!

  253. Jessica S says:

I would wear this with my teal v-neck lace sweater, dark skinny jeans and stiletto mid-calf brown boots. For jewelry, I’d wear my marcasite silver earrings with the green stones–they’re the perfect dark green/teal contrast! Thanks for doing a giveaway!

  272. Mary says:

When the weather is as nasty and rainy/snowy as it has been this week, I’d rock the Russian grandma style and wrap it over my head, crossing it under my chin so I stay warm. It’s gotten me some funny looks but my head stays warm.

  339. I’d play up the batik look to the stripes with a empire-waisted black jersey dress that has a small pattern of purple and olive tie-dye. Add black tights and mary janes, and I’m all set!

  340. I just love the Nepali line of bamboo scarves! Good for 4 season wear.

  341. sabrina says:

I love this scarf! My favorite color combo lately is grey and brown, so I would wear this scarf with my camel colored v-neck sweater dress (thrifted), brown flat riding boots, berry colored tights, and a grey belt!

  342. sabrina says:

LOVE the spring summer scarves. Especially the Bambi collection. In the summer, my city is really hot in the subway station, cold in the train, hot outside, and cold again in many offices, so this would be the perfect piece to stay warmer in the oppressive AC!

  343. Jen says:

I think I’d style it in a similar colour combo like the one A is wearing. I’d go maybe for jeans, grey sweater with a lighter grey longer tee that’s larger than the sweater. The pop of colour would be the scarf with its purplish notes.

  344. Erika says:

Since we just were hit with two feet of snow, I can only think of winter outfits. I’d wear this scarf with my navy skinny cords, dark grey tissue turtleneck, and light mustard wool sweater.

Thanks for the giveaway and the coupon code!

  345. Mindi says:

I would style this scarf with indigo jeans and a black or grey wedge heal, and possibly with a long sleeved red shirt. The red and purple would complement each other nicely.

  346. Jen says:

I love their Mimi Silk Scarf in every single colour. If I could get them all, I would! Looking at the picture, I can imagine the texture and it’s the kind of fabric I enjoy touching.

  347. Tina Z says:

    Beautiful scarf! Thanks! tzappile@gmail.com

  348. Erika says:

    I like the bamboo scarves.

And I want to say that I really appreciate your trending towards thrifting and towards socially-conscious and eco-conscious companies. It’s a struggle to live out one’s principles fashionably on a grad student budget, but you are providing at least some guidance in that regard (more so than those who promote buying lots of cheap clothing). Thanks.

  349. Ellen says:

I wear a lot of grey and jeans – my favorite classic-yet-comfy mom combo! I’d love to euro-loop this scarf with that sort of outfit to add style and punch.

  350. Melissa Lvanglue says:

    Hi Gals,

I would style the purple and grey Francie scarf with my
purple cord skirt. Black tights. Either my short black boots or my knee high boots. I would check both options in the mirror, then decide:) And a thin black open neck fitted cotton shirt, because it’s so darn warm in the classroom.

    Cheers,
    honeybeeglue

  351. Ellen says:

I lOVE the bamboo line at Nepali by TDM! Beautiful… I’d wear every one of them!

  352. Melissa Lvanglue says:

The scarf I like the most at Nepali designs is the
Grande Cashmere Scarf in Citrus(orange). The scarf looks
amazingly warm and it’s such a cheerful color. As a side note,
the color options offered for the Cloe loop scarf do not
seem to match the blue/grey scarf pictured on Nepali’s website.

    Cheers!

  353. Levelek says:

This scarf would fit so perfectly with my wardrobe! First outfit: desaturated purple-gray woven wool skirt, dark aubergine top, and red shoes! :)

  354. Levelek says:

I LOVE the scarf featured on the homepage – I wish I could find it among the items for sale!
Second choice would be the Skinny Masino scarf in black – it would look so elegant against a black top.

  355. Sarah says:

I love gray and purple! I think I would wear this scarf to dress up a black t-shirt dress and gray cardigan, belted with a black skinny belt – the purple and gray scarf over the two would add a fun dash of color.

  356. Sarah says:

I also LOVE the Bella Checked Scarf – I’ve been looking for the perfect checked scarf for a while now, and that would be it … but even with the 20% discount it’s a bit out of my price range!

  357. Emily says:

I think there could be multiple ways to wear this scarf. I think wearing it with a purple top and blue jeans would be one of the simplest ways.

  358. Katie says:

Since I’m doing my clinical internship this year, I’d style the scarf with black pants, a purple shell, and a grey cardigan. Boring, sure, but allows the client to project all they want!

  359. Katie says:

I’m intrigued by the bamboo scarves, must confess!

  360. Sarah McAuley says:

    Love this scarf!
I would style it with skinny jeans, a gray shirt or light- weight sweather and some black knee boots.
I would wrap the scarf around my neck a couple of times like S. did with her pink pashmina.

  361. Sarah McAuley says:

I LOVE the Grande Cashmere Scarf in chocolate!

  362. design_SMITH says:

This scarf is so beautiful. I love a gray and purple combination.

  363. design_SMITH says:

I love most of the scarves, but my favorites are the bamboo or cashmere tie-die look, especially the Sarah Crinkle Scarf – Bridgette.

  364. Carey says:

These are my two all time favorite colors to wear! I absolutely love the design. I would pair this with my favorite charcoal cardigan and tie it in a messy knot in front. I’d wear my cordouroy plum skirt with tights and gray boots. :)
