End Notes:

I spent this weekend at my 5 year college reunion down South. Two of my younger sisters-in-law are currently students at my old undergrad, so we got to spend some time with them as well.

My sisters-in-law have much better style than I did as an undergrad! They are fresh but polished, sophisticated but age appropriate. Both sisters are wearing some new additions to their wardrobe. L. is rocking a buttery chocolate brown leather jacket that adds a little edge to an otherwise classic preppy combo of denim, baby blue, and pink. H. is wearing a new wrap sweater dress she picked up this weekend at Target. She graciously pointed it out to me as well, and I bought a matching one. I’m looking forward to seeing how we style it differently to suit our different lives. I love how H. adds a western twist to the dress with her riding boots and distressed leather satchel.

I’m wearing what I’ve decided to term a faux sweater dress, layering my super long gray cardigan over my recently shortened eggplant jersey dress. In fact, with my (fabulous French) orange pashmina, this could be a fall version of an outfit from my preggers days this past summer.

If there’s a style gene, my in-laws have it. Thanks for being “guest lecturers,” girls!

How fun! I love the guest lecturer feature. Your sisters-in-law definitely have wonderful style, particularly as undergraduates. I was much more schlubby when I was a college student.

  3. Nadine says:

Individually you all look gorgeous, but the colour combination of the three of you together is simply stunning!

  4. Sal says:

You’re ALL knockouts. And have such distinct styles, but with a common thread of chic modernism running through.

  5. Clare says:

Those are some stylish ladies! I love the riding boots, and ADORE the color palette in your outfit, E.

I have a new black wool ruffle dress that is almost exactly like H’s wrap dress…except mine has short sleeves. I still can’t figure out what kind of cover up to wear over this dress that won’t detract from the ruffles. Any ideas? I love that she rocks the colour so well and the boots really bring a different feel to the dress.

The 3 of you are simply stunning- beautiful!

I’m glad I didn’t own a digital camera when I was at university because then there would be a lot more evidence of my not always so fashionable years (though I thought I was…thinking of 1st year’s choices makes me cry…).
You all look lovely, very lovely.
