Dear Audrey Hepburn,
I think you rock! You are by far my favorite style icon and I just wish I could look as elegant as you. I have long admired your style but have been hesitant in trying to emulate it. I had my doubts about embracing some of your signature looks – such as the skinny black pant (aka. the cigarette pant) – because I thought I had to have a perfect figure to do so. As I’ve gotten older and more comfortable with my body, I have let go of many preconceived notions of beauty and size and I have become more daring and adventurous, culminating in a brazen purchase of a black skinny cigarette pant!

I have looked at your images to find inspiration and I have even read admittedly slightly stalkerish posts about how to dress like you. I have followed your example of keeping it simple and clean, opting for three-quarter length sleeves and a defined waist, and hope to have achieved even a tiny twinge of the elegance you so effortlessly exuded. And I even managed to pattern mix just a bit!
Thank you, dear Ms. Hepburn, for being so charming, talented, and chic. I love your movies and will forever admire your style.
Sincerely,
S.

Agreed! She is amazing…and you are doing a great job emulating her style! :) You look awesome in your cigarette pants
Awesome, S! Glad you overcame your fears and nabbed those chic trousers. They look fab on you, and very, very Audrey.
I’ve said it before… you kill a slim silhouetted pant! The cigarette (they need a new name, cause cigarettes are kinda gross) pants look FANTASTIC. I used capitals so I mean it…
Aw, a perfect embodiment! I love Audrey too!!
I love Audrey Hepburn too- I bought a houndstooth jacket in black and white with a very vintage cut and whenever I wear it my mum says I look like her.
You do it so well, yet it’s still S.
This is too sweet! I also love Audrey Hepburn. You’re channeling her so well in this outfit!
Yeah, I agree! Very Audrey and you look great. I still don’t think I could ever pull off that length trouser but they look surprisingly good.
Love it! Super chic and the little spotted scarf around the waist is such a nice touch.
Love the look! It’s casual, but still very chic. At first I didn’t notice the top had a print. I love it paired with that scarf tie!
Oh, I love Audrey and I love this look! She is effortlessly cool and chic and sophisticated without looking like she’s tried too hard to get that way. This outfit does the same. It makes me (again) want the perfect crisp white shirt. Lovely!
Those cigarette pants look amazing on you, and Audrey is definitely one of the best to imitate.
