About five summers ago I seemed to reach that magic age when I had at least three weddings a summer to attend. Usually, at least one of the weddings has a guest list with no overlaps from any of the other weddings, which means, there is at least one dress repeat! I can also usually get away with wearing a dress form a previous year’s wedding to at least one. When I do go out a buy a dress specifically for a wedding, I try to pick something I could imagine wearing to other events: maybe a bridal shower, a baby shower, or a a graduation party.

I have two more weddings to attend this season and one very special wedding, which I will be standing up in! I am definitely planing to splurge on an ensemble for the latter.

For last nights wedding, I wore a dress my fashionable sister L. bought for me. I have worn this as a day dress with flat sandals and an artsy necklace. To dress it up a bit I paired it with high heels, my grandmother’s old patent clutch, and silver jewelry.
