End Notes:

It was only after I put this on yesterday that I realized why it looked so familiar:

13 February 2009 – With Coat, originally uploaded by academichic.

I had essentially worn the same outfit this winter. But yesterday, nstead of February’s dark gray sweater, I wore a dark gray tank top. Instead of cognac boots I wore t-strap wedges. I think it’s funny that I even wore my orange necklace in the same alternate way (with an extra chain attached to alter the shape).

Oh, right. And I guess this time around I’m also almost 9 months preggers.

I suppose this means I have a consistent style through the seasons and through pregnancy! But I’m curious if any of you feel like your style changes with the seasons. Do you pull more to the hippie, bohemian side during the summer but are preppier in the fall? Do you embrace the retro look more in the spring and go mod in the winter? Or does your style stay fairly defined year-round? Do you have summer versions of favorite winter combinations?

Just wanted to say that you look amazing, fully pregnant or not. I hope someone stops by the blog to let us know when your little one decides to join us!! Every time I visit the page, I think I’ll find some news… The “Two Celebrations” headline of July 4 had me hoping for a moment! :-)

Can’t believe you look just as sleek and stylish at 9 months as you did back then.

I definitely err more boho and cowgirl come summer, more mod and architectural during the colder months.

    You look fantastic hon!

I think that my style does get slightly more casual in the summer. I usually don’t like bohemian styles, but I let a few slip in when the temps rise. For the most part, though, I think I’m pretty consistent.

You’ve got the CUTEST style – right up my alley. Can’t wait to see how you’ve decorated the nursery (hint, hint)! :)

I loved this look the first time you wore it, and it still has to be one of my favorites!! I love the colors, the silhouette, and the way it looks great on you no matter how preggers you are!

In terms of style, I actually don’t think I change TOOO dramatically. I’m definitely more conservative in the winter, and play around with layered colors and textures. In the summer it’s more about skin-baring simplicity. I have a terrible time knowing what to wear in the in-between seasons (I guess I’m a little all-or-nothing!). And in terms of labeling my style, I have yet to find one that fits. I think I’m always a little bit trendy, sometimes mod, regularly on the funky side (but modestly so), and with a bohemian flair. Who knows?

That picture looks like it’s from a catalog! Too pretty!

I think it changes a bit. I like preppy/academic things in the fall because it reminds me of going back to school…but basically, I’m fairly sure that I’m consistent

I keep forgetting about that necklace lengthening technique! I’m going to have to try and mentally file that one away.

As for style, I think I stay fairly consistent throughout the seasons. I wouldn’t not how to classify myself but I don’t think I do more of one thing over another based on the weather.

My style does change a bit because of the seasons, but it’s manifested through accessorizing. In the summer I wear more “California casual” accessories, like turquoise and floral prints. in the winter I prefer 40s-50s style glamour, like patent leather and pearls.

My style changes in the summer because I spend most days outside. It’s a practical thing more than a fashion shift.

I’m seriously impressed at your ability to wear cute sandals at 9 months not to mention maintaining your style despite the limitation of available maternity clothes. Good luck in the upcoming weeks!

My style is never defined in any season!
i love how you extended the necklace, so clever I must try it!

You look gorgeous in both versions.

Can I say that I really love the photography in this blog, particularly the first picture of you walking in this particular post? Are each of you just amazing at setting up self-timers, or do you have someone who is taking your pictures for you?

I haven’t figured out how to get my pictures so clear on self-timer yet, but the room I’m in has hardly any natural light.

Gorgeous! I love the orange paired with the raspberry. Delish.

Your ankles are still thin and shapely, even in late pregnancy! I hope I have that kind of luck!

[...] She has a lovely orange necklace that is similar to my turquoise one, and in several outfits, she adds an extra chain to the necklace to make it longer and give it a completely new look.  I’ve been wanting to try that with [...]
