I love tricks like this that make items more versatile. I just bought 3 skirts that I'm so excited to wear as dresses. I posted them as dresses on my blog, but I forgot to take a picture of them as skirts first. oops!

One of the many reasons I love this blog is because the 3 of you have so many good tricks to share! Extending necklaces, using brooches for pendants, skirts as dresses. The list can go on and on. Thank you (all 3 of you!) for not hogging all the great fashion tricks for yourselves! :)

Personally, I think this skirt looks better worn as a dress. I love all the colors in this outfit!

@Audi - that blue skirt of yours worn as a dress looks great! I think I'll have to try that layering look and wear this with a sweater over it in the colder months!

@Linda and Midorigreen - I kinda thought that if I were larger in the chest area it might have messed with the evenness of the hemline more. This trick might be limited to a medium to smaller chest size...

I have a long skirt that I ONLY wear as a dress, because I just don't like the way it looks the other way. Here are a couple outfits I've made with it:

Like Midorigreen, I find that it blows up easily when I wear it as a dress, so I always make sure to wear shorts or something underneath.

Ha--I tried this in the privacy of my bedroom and found out right quick that it doesn't work with a chest over a certain size!

I've worn skirts as dress but I find I'm a bit top heavy for strapless dress without a cardigan.

Anyone else find that the skirts blow up when worn as dresses?

Thanks everyone for your encouraging words!

Penny, I think it's funny that you like this more as a dress than as the skirt it's intended to be! I guess sometimes it's good to question the mode of intention and experiment with other ways. Thanks!

Sal, I was a little scared of this color mix, to be honest. I wore A LOT of color yesterday but something about the bright day outside and my cheery mood made me feel like it was a go. Glad you liked it! :)
