I have drawn the inspiration for this outfit straight from Kimberley who took it from a fashion magazine. I am also imitating S’s sentiments about her legs from earlier this week. For my last post of our “featuring your best “ module, I am happy to say I love my legs.
For all the complaining I did last week about my thunder thighs – it is those same thighs that have carried me hundreds of miles in preparation for Sunday’s marathon. The expression on my face fully encapsulates how I am feeling about Sunday morning – nervous, excited, and a bit giddy. But, as S. and I push through the last stretch of our 26.2 miles, I will be grateful for my fancy running shoes and for my lungs, but most of all for the thundering sources of power that on any other day I call my legs.
Also, I don’t mind at all what all those miles have done for my calf definition.
Yeah, I’ve got legs…, originally uploaded by academichic.
very cute, and work appropriate (double points!)
good luck on the marathon!
This outfit really suits you! It’s a perfect look, I think. And, yes, great legs. Hope they carry through successfully on your marathon, which I’m sure you’ll do well at.
I am in love with this outfit on you. Though I am currently obsessed with pencil skirts I would love this even if I weren’t.
It’s such a great combo and it looks great on you!
Good luck this weekend and be safe!
Slightly random question, but do you ladies do a very large amount of teaching? So many outfits are tagged for teaching and I’m curious because where I’m from grad student teaching is quite limited. Love the outfit, you look great! And best of luck with the marathon!
I have only just found your blog and love what you ladies do! I have added you to my blog list!
Thanks for all the good wishes on the Marathon. We will report back once it is over – you might even get a Marathon outfit post b/c, yes, we have those planed and color coordinated!
A. – we are each in the classroom as teaching assistants or instructors about 3 days a week. As TAs we interact with students, hand out class materials, etc but are not necessarily lecturing every week. The three of us prefer to look like we could stand up and lecture on these days if we were asked to – but this is certainly not the philosophy of most TAs.
Good luck with the marathon!!
Ahh, I found this blog randomly the other day and I’ve just been eating up the posts on here-I love your styles!!
I love this outfit! I’d never thought of belting a button-down before: I might have to try it.
Hello ladies!
Eagerly awaiting your race report! Hope you had the time of your lives!
