Orange corduroy dress, grey dress, pressed flower pendant, and yellow pumps all remixed!
Endnotes:
Two dresses are better than one, right? I wrote about experimenting with dress layering yesterday, and here’s today’s result. What do you think? I pulled out my yellow pumps to go with the orange and grey, creating an analogous color combination. The last time I wore this dress, I created a different analogous color combo (orange and maroon), this time I just spun my mental color wheel in the other direction, and pulled out yellow to compliment the orange.

I think I instinctively went for such a color mix because the orange of the dress is so bright and bold, that a more complimentary color in the accessories would threaten to compete with it. An analogous color combo creates a softer, more subtle color mix, allowing the orange to stand out without competition. I would never have thought of combining two dresses, but you’ve given me an idea for a way to make more use of two dresses which are each a bit problematic on their own. I’ll have to try this out soon!

I like how this came together and how the gray really compliments the orange.
