Today is certainly a dress kind of day – E. and I are on the same wavelength here. I’ve had this white dress for a long time, it was one of the first dresses bought during my undergrad. days with the intention of wearing it during the day. As in, I didn’t buy it for a wedding, a graduation, or a funeral – about the only events I ever wore a dress to back then.

It’s a bit more hippie chic than something I’d pick out now, but I still love it. When the sun’s shining and it’s warm out, you simply can’t go wrong with a light white cotton dress. These days, I add a studded belt or some other accessory when wearing it, to make it a little less hippie and a little more hip.

By the way, it is April Fools  today. I am very bad at coming up with creative yet harmless pranks for my friends, although I wish I had it in me. Did you prank anyone today? S.

I loooooove this dress! You paired it so perfectly, from the belt to the necklace, to the denim jacket, to your awesome sandals. I’m having serious hippie girl envy.

You are making me want to go dig out my spring/summer clothes from storage! You look great and those sandals are super adorable!

  3. A says:

I love the sandals and the nail polish. So summery!

  4. Clare says:

Those sandals are great! I pranked my boyfriend a couple times this morning…my fave was taping down the handle on the hand sprayer of the kitchen sink. He went to get a glass of water this morning and came back drenched! The best part was that a couple hours later he went back for more water, forgot about the prank, and got wet again!

Check out my blog for my take on the 2/3 of a triad combo!

I also use a rubber-band around the kitchen sink hand sprayer to prank my mother &/or father. It works every year (I’ve been doing this for the last 5 years). It’s a wonder they don’t change the locks on their house.

I love your warm weather outfit :-)

  6. Jane says:

I love that white dress. And the sandals – it must be hot despite the lack of leave son the trees.

  7. S. says:

Thanks for your sweet words, everyone!

@Clare and Morgan – haha, I had to laugh when I read your response! You’re both definitely more creative than I am, and water is harmless enough, so that sounds like a good prank!

You made those sandals look so cute, I just ordered a pair.
