BUT.. I'm not sure I could dress the way you do and maintain the respect of my students. A colleague does it (dresses fashionably and with age appropriateness) and has trouble keeping control of her grad classes. I've had much more luck dressing like the crazy cat lady or ancient librarian. It's what the students expect. If they think we are one of them they really just can't deal. In this case it's your boots that would be the issue. They are fantastic. Maybe it would work if they were olive green wellies and your umbrella had green frogs on it - or was purple and yellow plaid or you had a flowing velvet tie-dyed multi-layered skirt on or something....
