I have spent all of today so far in sweats working from home – a rare but treasured thing. I love getting up, having a slow morning over coffee, and getting work done while watching my dog sleep or wrestle with my cat. I think I would get restless if these kind of days were the norm, but since most mornings consist of wake-up, running with A. (and our dogs), and the quickly breakfasting and heading off to campus, it’s nice when there is no rush and I can still be in my loungewear by lunchtime. 

I did finally get dressed though, as I have dinner plans with people from my department and some visiting prospective students. This is my last contribution to this week’s pattern module and, although I am not mixing patterns, I certainly am patterned! I’ve been inspired to layer this strapless dress over a crisp button-down ever since I saw Caotica Ana do this a while ago – such a clever way to wear a strapless dress when it’s colder, and a more interesting approach than just the cardi-over-the-dress one. Thanks, Caotica Ana, for a great idea! Ok, I’m off to finally leave the house! S.
