S. and ran 19 miles for our marathon training this morning! Usually on long run days I throw sweats on for the rest of the day but today I had plans to go to a wind symphony concert so had to look more put together than I felt. I’ve said before that the black jersey dress is my go-to item. I paired it with this cardigan and and flat comfy shoes and my aching feet and body did okay!
I’m not sure if our Pattern Challenge starts today or tomorrow so I threw in a bit of pattern in the belt just in case. This also pulls all the colors together for those who are less convinced by the black brown combination than I am! -A

I’ve recently been drawn to Burgundy and you have a whole outfit’s worth of it!! Love it :)
Love the floral print on that scarf/belt! And hey, I’m training for a marathon and did my long run today too, but you and S. beat me by a mile :o) Happy running!
I love colours, shoes and belt idea :)
If I ran 19 miles I would be a mess. You look so refreshed and beautiful. I saw everyone around here this week-end doing some long runs in prep of the Boston Marathon. I am always in awe of people who can do it.
I think jersey dresses are my go-to item as well. Even on days when I totally don’t feel like getting out of bed, I throw on a pretty jersey and suddenly look put together, even if I feel like crap. Love those boots too.
Thanks everyone for such nice comments – they were so fun to read while icing my legs this morning!
Renée – good luck with your training!
