Endnotes:
Once again I’m spending today (and even tonight) working form home and coffee shops. I can’t believe it is Friday of break already! Where did the week go?
I bought this cropped cardigan years ago and only wore it a couple times. When E. and I went thrifting the other day I brought a couple bags of stuff to Goodwill. This sweater was on top of one of the bags and, in a flash decision, I picked it off before heading out the door. I’m not convinced it wouldn’t have found a better home via Good Will!

It looks adorable with the blue-greens. Glad you held it back, beautiful!
im loving that ring!
You look great! I love the layering of the blue-greens, complimented by the jewelry.
I’ve recently discovered your blog and think it’s excellent. I’ve gotten lots of good ideas from here and just today, picked up 2 scarves at a thrift shop!
However, I notice that all 3 of you have figures that are pretty easy to dress (you’re all skinny!), and I think your blog would be even better if you could broaden it to address different types of figures. I know that short of adding another contributor, this is difficult, but I still think it can be done. For instance, when you’re wearing a particular outfit, say why this works for you and what other types of figures it would (or wouldn’t) work on, and why that is.
Thanks, I look forward to your future posts!
I love it. I love brown and teal together, and I love the shimmery texture of the scarf against the coarser, tweedy texture of the sweater. It looks really interesting.
Thanks everyone!
Danielle – my mom found this ring for 2$ at an antique shop and seeing as this blue green color is MY COLOR it was an obvious purchase for her!
Lauren- thanks for your suggestions. I completely agree and this is something we have talked a lot about. We are working on a future Fashion 101 on proportions and thinking about what works on different bodies and why. Keep the great suggestions coming!
