End Notes: I have to teach one more class, take one more class, attend two more meetings, and smile at one more department shindig… and then I am on Spring Break. Or, as S. put it so well yesterday, we will be on “Work From Home Week.” Hallelujah.
Meanwhile, as S. alluded to in her post today, our bit of the Midwest has swung from highs of the low thirties earlier in the week to a high of the low seventies today. Having had my heart broken multiple times by the fickle whims of Midwest Weather systems, I opted for my beloved boots today instead of ballet flats or open-toe sandals. I will not let you jerk me around, Midwest Weather. If you can’t decide whether or not to officially start spring, then I will persist in toeing the seasonal fashion line as well. At this point in the semester, it’s all about the small victories.

Can you have your part of the Midwest give mine a talking to? I’m jumping for joy at 40 degrees and would just about FAINT from happiness were it to be 70 this weekend!
Way to keep those amazing color combos going, post color-wheel-experiment!
I absolutely love these colors, and this outfit in general! Thank you for all the style inspiration.

I am a PhD student in the midwest too…I am really happy to be working from home this week, and I am thankful for the 40 degree weather…better than the teens!
[...] I’m not trying to copy the girls over at Academichic, it just so happens that we own the same green Target dress (which we altered in different ways). And I wore it with a belted cardigan. But I swear [...]
