Endnotes:

On Friday, A. and I spent a good part of the day at a coffee shop working. Usually, E. is with us, but since she was away this past weekend, it was just the two of us, coffee, and an abundance of cookies. Afterwards, we made a quick stop at a local thrift store on the way home. And that is when these red puppies entered my life: A. found these gorgeous red leather Etienne Aigner pumps, that have a wonderful vintage look to them, and are super comfortable. Lucky for me, they were a tad small for her and my feet are slightly smaller, so I somehow lucked out by her fortunate find. Thanks, A.!!

Love the detailing on those shoes. Quite a find indeed!

I love your website and am an avid follower. All the best (and good luck) at tackling the oxymoron of ‘academic style’. Whilst doing my PhD I was always asked if I was going out somewhere or whether my clothes were ‘new’ (hence my new ‘fashion’ blog title!) by people who clearly dressed like they should have been cleaning out the garage or gardening. Good on you and keep up the good work all of you! Love the red and sky blue combo by the way.

Sal, thanks, me too! I’m so glad A. found them.

Mervat, thanks for your comment and for being a reader of our blog! I know what you mean, I often used to get asked what I was dressing up for, but now less so as people realize that I like to wear more than just collegiate sweatshirts and jeans. It’s great to hear that our academics out there are embracing their love of studying and aesthetics!

Great find!! Love the cardi over the collared blouse!
