Sources:

  • Black jacket – TJMaxx
  • Brown woven belt – Forever 21
  • Navy and brown skirt – Talbots
  • Navy T-strap sandals – Talbots
  • Yellow bracelet – gift
  • Earrings – inherited from my grandmother

Endnotes:

I never thought I’d see the day where I put navy, brown, and black together for an outfit. Before this Fashion 101 Color Challenge, I would have been reluctant to combine these items for an ensemble, but I love the result. Can you spot my one baby pop of color though? I couldn’t resist. -S.

Not a combination of neutrals I’d have ever imagined could work … yet, it does! Especially with that bright bracelet thrown into the mix.

Thanks, Sal! I really doubted this combo too, but am reconsidering my assumptions about pairing neutrals together.
