Endnotes:

It has been a gorgeous Midwest weekend, I’m loving this weather! I feel a bit like a chameleon playing around outside, blending in with the colors of the neighborhood decor, and ignoring all work responsibilities. This is my last nod to this week’s challenge of mixing complementary colors from the color wheel. This one’s a bit of a cheat, since the cardigan is already doing the mixing (orange and blue) for me. But it’s the weekend, so I’m allowed to slack a bit.

The tan of the cardi is also a perfect lead into next week’s color module of our Fashion 101, as A. already hinted. So stay tuned and check back tomorrow for Module 2 of Fashion 101: How to Combine Colors. And enjoy the rest of your weekend! -S.

Just discovered your site via wardrobe remix. I really admire your various styles and find your complementary color mixing inspiring; yesterday I wore a peacock blue sweater over an orange top for the first time ever and got lots of compliments. Thanks for posting your photos and the info in your blog.

I love your outfit and I’m always on the lookout for new trouser jeans. Are those a style currently offered by Old Navy or are they discontinued?

    Emm,

thanks so much! We’re glad we could inspire!

    Megan,

thanks! I love trouser jeans too, I got this pair a couple of years ago and wear them often. I don’t know if Old Navy still sells them occasionally, but they’re not in stores now. However, they do have a dark wash wide leg trouser jean that looks promising. Let me know if you try them and they look good!
