  • Striped white button-down – H&M
  • Blue sweater – Jones New York
  • Salmon trousers – J.Crew
  • Black boots – Banana Republic
  • Blue flower brooch – Ann Taylor

Endnotes:

This is the first outfit adhering to this week’s color challenge, a.k.a. Module 1 of the Fashion 101 on How to Combine Colors. Since Module 1 is all about expending our color horizons and creating color combinations usually alien to us — such as pairing complimentary colors — this is what I did. I paired my salmon pants with a bright blue top (orange-blue families). I usually wear these pants with a neutral, such as black, but got so many more compliments on the color of these pants when wearing them with a complimentary colored top. I can see this module already working for me! Yay for Module 1! -S.
