End Notes:
In my continuing defiance of winter and inspired by the flashes of color in Slumdog Millionaire, I pulled out two of my favorite bright pieces for another cold, snowy day. Among the myriad things covered in class today, I talked to my students about complementary colors and pointed to my own ensemble as proof that opposite hues “pop” against each other. And since fit — rather than preconceived notions of seasonal appropriateness — is my main dressing priority in my pregnant state, I’ll probably continue to wear a lot of “summer” clothes in the cold, just like S. mentioned in her post today. Just being a good feminist and breaking down binaries.

The jumpy photo is the most adorable thing ever! Love it. And, I love the color scheme. You’re one brave lady for going outside sans-coat.
