Endnotes:
Last night, the fiance, T., and I went out to dinner and a show. For my “date night” look, I pulled out this classic black dress that I also wore on the first day of teaching (and in my first post here). A. and I both own this dress because we found it for a steal at the Banana Republic outlet. You can dress it down for day, or add some heels and make it fit for a night out on the town. I was also inspired by the lovely Jean C’est Quoi to wear a scarf around my waist as a belt, as she did in this picture just recently. If I had to pare down my wardrobe to just a few key items, this classic black dress would definitely be one of them, as well as some scarves, which can be worn in so many ways and always add some interest to any outfit.
Hope your Saturday night was a lovely one as well!

I’m excited to find this blog as a fellow phd student who defiantly dresses up to teach, hold office hours, visit the library, and meet with faculty. I found you via wardrobe remix and I am looking forward to adding you to my blogroll!
OMG!! I so love this outfit – so classy and so creative. You look gorgeous. Those pink shoes are so cute. And I don’t even like pink!
Thanks, Homely girl!
