End Notes:
Today is my first day teaching my discussion sections, and, to be honest, I had a hard time getting dressed this morning. The little black dress may seem like a cop-out, but you can’t argue with a go-to classic when you’re having a wardrobe crisis. Though my impulse was to belt everything, I wanted to play with the softness of the sweater against the tailored lines of the dress. So, I pinned the cardigan into more of a cocoon shape and left it open. If my students were metaphorically inclined, perhaps they will think that I am structured-but-compassionate, firm-but-flexible. Or maybe that’s asking too much. – e.
